How to make it

  • Cook fettuccine according to package directions.
  • Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute the asparagus, onion and garlic in butter until tender.
  • Add the remaining ingredients.
  • Cook and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and sauce is blended.
  • Drain fettuccine; toss with asparagus mixture.

    This is my next pasta dish! And I can't wait!! Thanks for posting Amercolpsa! And I agree with lipsantos, you start your pasta, toss the rest together and voila! Few ingredients, little effort, but great taste!

    This is my kind of recipe; while the pasta cooks, the other ingredients are prepared and then tossed all together. But I would have never thought of using cream cheese. Next time I get some asparagus, I'm going to try it.
