How to make it

  • Soak beans for 4 hours. In an 8 qt. sauce pot add beans, carrots, and onions. Add chicken broth, 5 cans of water and garni . Cook on low boil for 45-55 minutes until it reaches 75 % consistency. Cover and cool. Refrigerate or freeze. This base can be safely stored in your refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or in your freezer until the fat lady sings
  • Per serving: 126 Calories; less than one gram Fat (3% calories from fat); 8g Protein; 23g Carbohydrate; 0mg Cholesterol; 73mg Sodium
