Ingredients
  • 1 cup white onions sliced
  • 2 tablespoons corn oil
  • 2 pounds beef with bone cubed
  • 2 garlic cloves sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 fresh hot green chili sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh gingerroot crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon caraway crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric ground
  • 1-1/2 cups water

Directions
  1. In dry pan over medium heat stir fry onions 2 minutes then add oil and stir fry 1 minute longer.
  2. Add meat and brown 5 minutes stirring frequently.
  3. Add all of the spices and seasonings at one time and stir well.
  4. Add water and bring to a boil then cover pan and cook over moderate heat 45 minutes.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature.
