I opened this recipe because I just had to find out what on earth 'Bluepples' could possibly be. What a nice surprise. This sounds really good & I just bought a bunch of Bluberries so I can't wait to try it. Thanks Brianna

The home where I grew up had a variety of fruit trees on the property. Among them were apple and plum. My mother used to make apple sauce from our "crop" and toss in whole plums. The plums would disintegrate into the applesauce and the skin would impart a gorgeous color. She'd pick out the plum pits when done cooking, of course. I loved all of the cooked fruit she prepared each summer.
Thanks for this recipe and a sweet memory.
