This is a very traditional recipe of south india.all vadas need to be served hot....can be served with coconut chutney or sambar....

Ingredients
  • 1 C urad dhall or white lentil
  • 3 green chillies-chopped
  • 1/2 inch ginger grated r finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion-chopped
  • curry leaves-chopped
  • salt to taste
  • oil to fry

Directions
  1. Soak the urad dhall 2-3 hr
  2. Drain the water&grind it well.if needed add very little water
  3. Mix the chopped chillies,onions,ginger,curry leaves &salt
  4. Shape it like a doughnut &drop it slowly into the oil
  5. Fry till golden brown
  6. Serve hot..
