- 1/2 cup buttermilk or sour cream shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1/4 cup cocoa shopping list
- 1/2 pound butter shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- Frosting: ........................ shopping list
- 1/4 pound butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 cup cocoa shopping list
- 6 tablespoons evaporated milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts -- optional shopping list
- 1 pound powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Mix flour and sugar together.
- Mix all other ingredients together and
- bring to a boil in pan. Mix all together and beat well.
- Pour in jelly roll pan that has been greased and lightly floured.
- In preheated oven, Bake at 400F for 35 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center, comes out clean..
- For frosting, mix butter, vanilla, cocoa, milk
- and nuts together. Bring to a boil and pour mix over powdered sugar.
- Mix well. Frost cake warm while warm.
