This is a recipe that my sister had. I don't know why it's called crownies. I liked it a lot.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup buttermilk or sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1/2 pound butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Frosting: ........................
- 1/4 pound butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 6 tablespoons evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts -- optional
- 1 pound powdered sugar
Directions
- Mix flour and sugar together.
- Mix all other ingredients together and
- bring to a boil in pan. Mix all together and beat well.
- Pour in jelly roll pan that has been greased and lightly floured.
- In preheated oven, Bake at 400F for 35 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center, comes out clean..
- For frosting, mix butter, vanilla, cocoa, milk
- and nuts together. Bring to a boil and pour mix over powdered sugar.
- Mix well. Frost cake warm while warm.

Could mean chewy brownie, or cooked brownie? This is similar to Texas Sheet cake where some of the ingredients are boiled in both the cake and the icing, resulting in a very moist and chewy cake. This looks really good.Thanks for the post.
