Easy European Chocolate Glaze Recipe

Easy European Chocolate Glaze Recipe
My Austrian friend Dagmar shared her secret with me as I raved once again about her glaze. It's so simple you won't believe how easy it is... For cakes and desserts of every description.

Ingredients
  • Semi-sweet chocolate
  • Unsweetened chocolate
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Dash salt

Directions
  1. This is a European recipe, so it goes by weight.
  2. Use equal amounts of chocolate (your choice of how much semi-sweet in relation to unsweetened you want to use. I like intense and bittersweet so I use about 2/3 semi to 1/3 unsweetened) and cream, by weight.
  3. That means if you use 8 oz. chocolate all told, you will need 8 oz. cream.
  4. Melt the chocolate and cream together in the microwave carefully, just until the chocolate is melted.
  5. Mix gently together and let it cool to room temperature.
  6. Add dash of salt and now beat well with a wire whip until glossy.
  7. Pour over cake or dessert and let set.
  8. Chill at least 1 hour before serving. Luscious!
