How to make it

  • In a small bowl,mix the coffee,sugar,and 3 Tablespoons of the Kahlua.
  • Pour into a freezer-safe dish,and place in the freeze.
  • To make the granita icy and flaky,run a fork through the mixture,breaking up the lump,three times at 45 minute intervals.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and freeze at least 8 hours,overnight would be better.
  • Whip the cream with the remainder of the Kahula and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  • Roughly break up the granita with a fork,spoon into chilled glasses and top with the cream mixture.
  • A couple of chocolate covered coffee beans would'nt be bad on top either.
  • Serves 6 to 8
