Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb bacon
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion [chopped]
  • 1 C ketchup
  • 1/2 C packed brown sugar
  • 32 oz pork and beans

Directions
  1. In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove to paper towels to drain; crumble and set aside.
  2. Drain drippings from skillet. Brown the beef; drain.
  3. Add onion and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Combine ketchup and brown sugar; stir into beef mixture.
  5. Stir in pork and beans and all but 2 Tbsp. of the bacon.
  6. Transfer to an 8″ square baking dish.
  7. Top with the remaining bacon.
  8. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
