Goulash Recipe
This is a food recipe that I enjoy when I was young and still love to make.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 large carrot chopped
  • 2 or 3 potatoes chopped
  • garlic cloves how you like
  • 500g approx. 2-1/2 to 3 cups pork meat cut in chunks
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • paprika to taste
  • 1 kg approximatly 4 to 5 cups sauerkraut
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 liter or 1 cup table cream

Directions
  1. In a pot heat up oil add chopped onion and garlic and fry slow not to brown
  2. Add meat, salt, paprika, potatoes, carrots and water to cover everything
  3. Cover and let cook for about 50 or 60 minutes on medium heat or when the meat is tender
  4. Then add sauerkraut and let everything simmer for another 30 or more minutes
  5. Mix together 2 to 3 tablespoons of flour and 1 cup cream
  6. Add to the pot and mix everything together until it is boiling
  7. Take the pot off the stove and add salt and pepper how you like
  8. Sometime we like to add a little sweet red wine or you can add a little sugar for sweeter taste
  9. If I do not add potatoes then we have noodles to make it more filling

Hi Borinka, so nice to find another recipe posted from you :) In Romania we have goulash, too - but my recipe is different than yours. Differences are good - we get to try more options and I will try yours, absolutely. High5!
