This dessert is cool and refreshing for the summer months.

Ingredients
  • CRUST:
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1/4 C. brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 1/2 C. nuts
  • Crumble together. Put into pie pan. Bake for about 15 minutes at 350°, stirring every 5 minutes. When nicely browned, pack into pie shell. Cool.
  • FILLING:
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 2 egg whites
  • 10 oz. frozen strawberries, partially thawed

Directions
  1. Beat together for 20 minutes at medium speed. Add 1/2 pint cream (whipped). Fold in. Serve frozen. Use a 10" pie pan.
