North Georgia Couphing Fix Recipe
A good cough surpresent. My father made this when I was a child. Still works today. Wife was amazed at how well.

Wow, sounds interesting, you have my 5. Will give this a try, nothing worse then a cough that won't go away when you feel badly from a cold.

I ALSO have been given this with whiskey for colds, flu, cough, even allergies..works very well..We have also used it very WARM to sooth the throat. Many thanks and hi 5ers!

Very creative remedy. How long would this keep?

I could not tell you how long it keeps because when we were kids and the parents were away it went quickly. (And we got into big trouble) Really, I am not sure. To the best of my memory it lasted a couple of years before the jar was empty. (When parents finally hid it from us!)Sorry I could not do better with that information!

What perfect timing. By the time the peppermint has disolved it will be the "cold season", literally. Oh, ya, we will try this!

It is kind of like home-made jagarmeister. My husband and I like it in the winter...it really warms you up and could get rid of a cough in a pinch - this sounds much better tasting though. I will have to make this for winter - Thanks again friend! ~Dawn
