- I/2 stick butter
- 1 cup long grain white rice (raw)
- 1 10 oz. can beef consomme ( not broth)
- mushrooms, optional
How to make it
- Melt butter in pyrex, or corningware dish,add rice.
- Stir til butter is melted, rice is blended.
- Add can of consomme, stir to blend.
- Place lid on top, reduce heat to med. low.
- Cook til all liquid is not visible on top of rice.
- Leave lid on,turn off heat, let "steam" approx 5 min.
- Add mushrooms at same time as consomme, if desired.
