authentic, tender pork carnitas perfect for tacos or burritos.

Ingredients
  • Pork Loin Roast or pork butt roast
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 can Coke or Pepsi
  • ! can chopped green chilis
  • 1 med. onion, quartered
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 med. jalepeno-deseeded and chopped
  • 1 bunch of cilantro-chopped

Directions
  1. cut pork roast into 2 in. pieces
  2. add to a stew pot on stove
  3. and all ingredients above
  4. bring to a boil and cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 3-4 hours.
  5. preheat oven to 350 degrees
  6. spoon out meat with slotted spoon and put into a roasting pan
  7. shred with a fork
  8. save liquid in pot.
  9. cook meat in roasting pan for 30-45 mins.
  10. Remove from oven and spon broth mixture of meat.
  11. Serve with corn tortillas, salsa, guacamole etc.
