Ingredients
  • baking soda or cream of tartar
  • a larger pot to hold the plasticized bottom of the pan

Directions
  1. Simmer the messed up pan in the 10 inch skillet (I used this) with about an inch of water "doctored "with baking soda.
  2. Check at 10 minutes. If ready, the plastic will come off with the aid of a spatula. If it won't all come off, return to the simmer bath. Add more baking soda as necessary.
  3. Repeat as necessary.
  4. This was my saving grace today. I googled, got "chowhound" and The Answer was there!! and it worked!!
