Ingredients

3 tablespoons butter

4 pounds chicken thighs

1 cup flour

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons onion powder

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon white peppers

1 tablespoon sugar

1/4 cup soy sauce

3/4 cup barbecue sauce

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 cup water

Directions

Preheat oven to 425*F

Divide the butter between two large baking sheets.

Place in oven for 1 minute, or until butter is just melted. Spread butter around the pan.

Combine the flour, garlic powder, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, white pepper and sugar.

Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour.

Place on the baking sheets, skin side down.

Bake for 30 minutes. Turn the chicken over, skin side up, and bake an additional 15 minutes.

Combine the soy sauce, barbeque sauce, brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, and 1 cup of water.

Place the chicken in a small electric roaster (nesco) or in a crock pot/slow cooker.

Pour the sauce over top.

Set on low and slow cook 4-6 hours, basting with sauce ever 30 minutes.
