This recipe is one from the past. It is funny how at least I do get on a kick and make something frequently then not to see if again for a long time. This recipe is one of those, but makes a moist delicious orange bundt cake

Ingredients
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 small box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup vodka
  • 1/4 cup Galliano liqueur
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon vodka
  • 1 tablespoon Galliano liqueur

Directions
  1. Stir together the dry ingredients. Add the eggs and the other liquid ingredients and beat at medium speed for 3 or 4 minutes. Oil a bundt cake pan and dust it with flour. Pour in the cake batter. Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45-50 minutes. Remove the cake from the bundt pan and pour the glaze (below) over the cake while it is still warm. Serves 8-12.

Alterations


I just got an old recipe book (1976) and has a Harvey Wallbanger cake that is exactly like this one except they use 1 two layer orange cake mix instead of yellow. It also uses 1/2 Cup each of orange juice, vodka, and the Galliano.
