George Washington Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups Cherries (mom used canned sour drained)

2 cups sugar (divided)

2 Tbsp butter

1/2 cup milk

1 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder

Directions

Combine cherries with 1 cup sugar and let stand while preparing the batter.

Mix together the flour, 1 cup sugar, and Baking powder.

Add the milk to flour mixture and mix well.

Melt butter and add to the batter.

Pour into an 8 x 8 greased glass baking dish and spoon fruit on top of batter.

Bake at 375 for 45 minutes.

Serve warm with cream.
