Well, I finally made it! I have to confess, I was having doubts about it after I went back and reread the recipe. It had not only the schnapps, but also BBQ sauce and Italian dressing all combined. I finally stopped by the store and got all the ingredients needed and we just had it for dinner. It actually came out like a BBQ chicken. Very, very yummy BBQ sauce! I am cooking the sauce in a pan separately right now to reduce and thicken the rest of it. We had a lot of sauce left over, which is OK, I can use it as BBQ sauce when I need it. The only thing I did different is added my apples close to the end and just waited for them to get soft. I didn't want them to get too mushy by cooking 8 hours. I also cut the recipe in half, since it was only 2 of us eating this. Thanks again for a great recipe! Added a picture, hope that's OK.
