Baltimore Hash Recipe
BALTIMORE HASH This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Gleason Estate in Centerville, Texas in 1989.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small diced white onion
  • 28 ounce can diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  1. In a skillet cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink then drain well.
  2. Add tomatoes, carrots, celery and potatoes then bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat then cover and simmer 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
