Toffee Daggarts

- 4 cups all purpose flour, sifted shopping list
- 4 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar plus additional sugar for topping shopping list
- 1/3 cup dark molasses shopping list
- 1 1/3 cups vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 cup toffee bits shopping list
How to make it
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt into medium bowl and mix well.
- Whisk eggs in a large bowl until blended. Add sugar, oil, molasses, vanilla extract, and toffee bits.
- Stir the dry ingredient into egg mixture until blended.
- Chill, covered for 30 minutes or longer.
- Roll chilled dough into balls the size of walnuts. Flatten in hand. Dip one side in sugar and placer sugar side up on baking sheet spraying with non-stick cooking oil.
- Bake in preheated oven, 400 degrees, for about 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
- Store in airtight containers. Makes about 100 cookies.
