Creamy Cheddar Taters

- 4 pounds baking potatoes, Scrubbed shopping list
- 12 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded (about 3 cups) shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup whipping cream shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- 1 - Combine potatoes with water to cover in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil until taters are tender (usually about 20-25 minutes. Drain and let stand to cool
- 2 - Coat bottom and sides of a 13x9 inch baking dish with butter. Peel potatoes and coarsely chop. Place in baking dish
- 3 - Heat cheese in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. Add in milk, whipping cream, dry mustard and pepper. Pour sause over potatoes. Cover & chill for 30 minutes.
- 4 - Preheat oven to 350*F
- 5 - Remove cover. Bake taters until they are heated through and browned lightly (about 35 minutes).
- *Goes best with chicked & green beans*
