This is one of Peggy's recipes.I think it was either an friend of hers or her mother's recipe.She was tellng me that this maybe one of my family's favorite Cakes.I NEVER made this cake.I thought that this would be nice to share with you.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons lard
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions
  1. In an mixing bowl combine 2 cups of cold water over 1 cup raisins, let it boil till 1 cup water is left.
  2. Mix all the other ingredients and mix well.
  3. Bake at 350 degree oven and bake for 15 minutes or until done
