How to make it

  • 1 kilo pork belly (cut into small stips)
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup shrimp paste
  • 1 small ginger (chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 T cooking oil
  • 10 pcs Bird's eye chili pepper
  • Saute garlic and onions and ginger
  • Add pork until color changes
  • Add shrimp paste and simmer for about 3 minutes
  • Add coconut milk
  • simmer until pork is tender
  • add chili peppers ( the more the hotter)
  • simmer for another 5 minutes in low heat
  • Serve with steamed rice
  • Enjoy! careful it's hot

    I think so. It is a little hard to find, but it's worth it. Filipino markets is the good place to look for it. Hope you enjoy it!
