Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies
Ingredients
- ½ cup shortening
- ¾ cup peanut butter with nuts
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- Granulated sugar in a bowl….for coating cookies
- 9 oz. package of unwrapped Hershey Kisses
How to make it
- Cream shortening and peanut butter together
- Add sugar and brown sugar next until well blended
- Add egg, milk, vanilla and beat well
- Add dry ingredients
- Shape into balls and roll into bowl of granulated sugar
- Place on a cookie sheet approximately an inch apart
- Bake at 375 degrees until slightly brown and cookie slightly cracks
- (Be careful not to overcook or burn)
- Remove from oven and place candy kiss in center of cookie and press down
- Let cookies set until chocolate gets hard
