• Just one of my recipes of Happy:
• 1. Freedom to go where there is still room to go.
• 2. Tranquility.
• 3. Riding my horse through the sage brush after a rain with the intoxicating scent filling the nostrils.
• 4. Seeing a new born calf,wide eyed,discovering his world for the first time.
• 5. A brood mare dropping her foal,and me being right there to imprint,and give him a name.
• 6. Walking the canyons,under a canopy of cedars till I reach the fishing pond,taking off down to what God gave me,sliding into that cool wetness,cascading over my body like brown silk,getting a mere glimpse of that one pearlescent perch,brave enough for a swim by,Hi.
• 7. Sitting on my back porch after what I would swear was the most magnificient sunset I had ever seen sinking over the horizon,taking with it,that molten copper glow.
• 8. Cup of coffee in hand,watching the flicker,and flash, of the fireflies flight,wishing one would come close enough to rest on the pad of my palm.
• 9. Having the hair on the back of my neck rise every so slightly,as a coyote calls in the distance.
• 10. Laying on that old army cot,the night enveloping me with it's inky blackness of my own personal cocoon,losing count of the stars as I drift off to sleep.
• 11. Feeling perfectly at home in my own skin,my mind empty of all care,enjoying the senses and ecstasy of it all.
• 12. Stepping into that lear jet called "Utica",with my long time friend,and fly towards the heavens looking down on Bright lights,Big city.Shoving those worn leather boots that have taken on the shape of my feet,under the the seat.Slipping on the Glass Slipper one more time,thinking only one thought, "The Cry of the Country Calling me back home."
