Turkish Gozleme-Pan Borek

- 4 cups plain flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1/3 cup milk shopping list
- 360ml lukewarm water shopping list
- extra olive oil or butter for cooking shopping list
- Filling shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 large onion, chopped finely shopping list
- pinch cayenne pepper shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon sweet paprika shopping list
- 2cups mashed potatoes shopping list
- 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled shopping list
How to make it
- 1.Combine flour and salt in a large bowl and make a well. Pour water and mix until combined. Turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Divide dough into small balls like lemon size Cover and allow to rest for 30 minutes(for winter 1 hour)
- 2.Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan; cook onions until softened but not browned. Allow to cool.
- 3.Combine onion mixture and remaining filling ingredients in a bowl; season and mix to combine.
- 4.Preheat flat grill plate on high. Roll dough to a 3mm thickness; size must be like dish plate..place of the filling over one half of the dough. Fold over dough and press lightly to seal. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
- heat ton on stick pan and cook gozleme . Place one gozleme onto flat plate. Cook for 3-4 minutes, drizzle top with more oil then turn over. Tip: If dough is browning too quickly reduce heat to medium.
- 6.Cook until golden brown and crisp. Repeat with remaining gozleme.
- 7.Cut into pieces and serve with wedges of lemons. With tea
- For to cook back: ( hold the gozlemes with your hands for a minute)
