Pan De Dal
Ingredients
- 1 T yeast
- 1/3 c sugar
- 1 1/3 c lukewarm water
- 3 T shortening
- 1 t sugar
- 4 c bread flour
- 1 T salt*
- bread crumbs
How to make it
- Dissolve yeast in water
- Add sugar, salt and shortening. Mix well
- Add flour gradually
- Knead until smooth and elastic
- Let rise until double in bulk about 1 hour
- Punch down. Let rise for 30 min
- Divide into 2
- Roll out 1 ball into an oblong
- Roll up on the long side. Seal with each turn
- Let rest for 5 min
- Cut into desired size.
- Roll in crumbs
- Arrange on an un-greased sheet which has been dusted with bread crumbs
- Place on the sheet with the cut side up
- Let rise for 1 hour or until double in size
- Bake at 400°F for 15 min.
