- 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder shopping list
- 4 Cups cake flour(please do not use all purpose flour) shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Good bourbon shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Grand Marnier shopping list
- 3 Cups Strongly brewed coffee,cooled shopping list
- 5 oz.unsweetened chocolate,chopped(use the best chocolate that can be allowed) shopping list
- 5 oz.Semi-sweet chocolate,chopped(use the best chocolate that can be allowed) shopping list
- 1 Pound butter,unsalted shopping list
- 3 Cups sugar shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract shopping list
- 4 Large Fresh eggs,beaten ,slightly shopping list
How to make it
- Sift together flour,baking soda,and salt.
- warm bourbon,Grand Marnier,coffee,both of the chocolates,and butter,in a pan until melted.
- Add the sugars and mix until dissolved.
- With mixer,mix chocolate mixture on medium,until cooled.
- Add flour mixture slowly until fully combined.
- Mix in the vanilla.
- In another bowl,slightly beat eggs by hand and then fold into the batter.
- Pour batter into the greased and cocoa powder dusted pans(two 12" pans)
- Place the batter filled pans inside a much larger pan,then fill larger pan with hot water,to within a 1/2" depth.
- Bake in a 300 degree oven,for 45 to 60 minutes.
- Remove from oven when sides are set,and center is slightly ajar.
- Allow to rest for about 5 minutes,then turn out on rack to cool.
