Delicious Crock-pot Pot Roast Recipe
I hate dry plain pot roast. This recipe for pot roast is easy to make, and very tender and juicy. Lots of flavor and season!

Ingredients
  • 3-4 pounds boneless chuck roast
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 white onion (skinned and cut into 8ths)
  • 3-4 celery stalks (cut into 1 inch lengths)
  • 1 green pepper (cleaned and cut into large chunks)
  • 2 lbs of baby-cut carrots
  • 5-6 (enough to fill up the crock pot) russet potatoes (skinned and cut into 8ths)


  • Sauce:
  • 2 envelopes Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons A-1 sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4th teaspoon garlic powder

Directions
  1. Turn the crock-pot on to high.
  2. In a cereal bowl, mix the ingredients for the sauce, and set aside.
  3. Rinse the meat, and put the meat into a large crock pot. Salt and pepper both sides.
  4. Cook the meat on high for 45 minutes.
  5. Turn the meat over and add the veggies to the crock-pot.
  6. Pour the sauce over the veggies and stir.
  7. Cook overnight; stirring occasionally, if you get a chance.

Alterations


You can leave the veggies out, and still use the sauce on the chuck roast. Once the meat is done, take it out and thicken the gravy at the bottom of the crock-pot with some flour.

Serve the meat with mashed potatoes, and cover it all with the gravy.
