I found this recipe in Honest Pretzels and thought that I would give this a try and too even add it here as well.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups peanuts (raw or roasted)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (if the peanuts are unsalted)
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon peanut oil or canola oil

Directions
  1. Measure 1 1/2 cups peanuts.Put them into a blender or food processor.
  2. If the peanuts are unsalted, add 1/4 teaspoon salt.If you don't know whether or not the peanuts are salted, taste them.
  3. Turn on the machine.(Use the "chop" or "blend" speed if you're using a blender.)The peanuts will begin crunching up.It will be loud at first.
  4. Keep running the machine for about 2 or 3 minutes, or until the peanuts begin to turn into mush.If you're using a blender you'll need to stop it once or twice to scrape down the sides and stir things up.
  5. Stop the machine and add 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon oil.Buzz the machine (press the button on and off) a few more times until the oil is mixed in.
  6. Use as much as you want right away, then scrape the rest of the peanut butter into a jar or a container with a lid.Keep it in the refrigerator.
