Mocha Slonardle Recipe
This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Lonard Estate in Greenville, Texas in 1980.

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cups hot strong coffee
  • 2cups scalded milk
  • Whipped cream

Directions
  1. Combine water and cornstarch in top of a double boiler. Add sugar, cinnamon, chocolate and coffee. Cook over boiling water until thick. Add milk and heat 15 minutes while stirring often. Chill. Top with chipped cream and serve cold.
