Ingredients
- Easy Pizza Dough:
- 8 cups Sifted Flour
- 2 packages dry yeast
- 1 3/4 cups water -- at 85 degrees
- 4 tablespoons salad oil
- 2 teaspoon salt
- ------------
- Chocolate Sauce:
- 8 oz. Chocolate
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- ------------
- Powdered sugar
- Cinnamon
Directions
- Roll pizza dough into small balls. Place oil into large pot and preheat to 350 degrees. Place the dough balls into the oil and cook until golden brown. Place into paper bag with powdered sugar and cinnamon and shake. Serve with the sauce.
- For the Chocolate Sauce: Heat the cream in a small saucepan until hot but not boiling. Pour cream over the chocolate and stir until the mixture is smooth. Transfer the Chocolate Sauce into a dipping dish. Serve the zeppole alongside the Chocolate Sauce for dipping.

Pizza dough and chocolate sauce - who'd a thought?! When the weather is a bit cooler, I will have to give these a try...perhaps next time I see the grandkids (or I'd eat them all myself). Thanks!
