... from a weekend at my folks. My Mom held a surprise open house in honour of my Dad's 85th birthday ... I got to visit with cousins I hadn't seen in YEARS! It was a truly wonderful time and my Dad was very moved by such a show of love and gratitude and honour. Everyone contributed to a "money jar" for a fund to buy him a digital TV cable setup as he watches a lot of TV these days, so now he can sign up for lots of specialty sports channels and nature/wildlife channels, those are his favourites. Great idea for a gift for an "elder" so wanted to share it with my friends here! :-)

I can't get it too messy though, we have friends/family coming Friday for Thanksgiving. It's a day late because I am working on Thanksgiving. It's all about me, since I am the one who cooks.

I am working my last day at work today and will be off all week.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I will be thinking and giving thanks to each and everyone one of you here. All of you are amazing in each of your own ways. This site is the best...its the people who make it that way!
