Problems uploading photos

Has anyone had problems uploading photos. I can add text, but the accompanying photo will not add. Any suggestions?

I can only load one photo, sometimes two. But I have to edit them to be smaller. I go into my photos, (I use windows photo gallery on my computer) and click on Re-size or Properties and size them so they are 980 pixels on one side. You can also go to picmonkey.com and do it there for free. They automatically re-size the photo for you for use on all media websites. You can also edit your photo and make collages etc..

I have found when adding photos not to be a problem and I can add three to a thread. I rarely Re-size unless it is for my avatar. On the bottom left hand side of my screen it shows the percentage of the upload and sometimes it takes a bit of time depending on the size. I use Ribbit as it stores all my Re-sized photos and I can restore them again as well. It used to be be and now I pay something like $19.95 a year for it and for me it is well worth it. I also use Picasa the free forerunner of Ribbit. Picmonkey works very well too. It might be harder using an Ipod I don't know?

Hi - thanks for looking at the problem. I am using iPhoto and a MacBook Pro. It used to be easy - click on the photo and tell it to open and bingo, there it was. I have been told that the problem lies with the server GR uses to "bounce off" the pictures. I guess I will try it with only one photo next time just to see if that is less a problem. But evidently the GR admin has to check into the servers being utilized. FaceBook is no problem - click on the photo and it appears on my news feed. I haven't sent many pix elsewhere for some time. Just GR and FB.

I had no problem adding photos anywhere on the web with my older Nikon camera. At xmas I got a new Canon camera and have had problems with loading pics ever since. I think it is either from the higher resolution/pixels as they load too big.

The only time I have had problems uploading pictures was when I had forgotten to resize them and they were too big.

Mine are same size / resolution as before. Same equipment. Same camera. Some server somewhere is overloaded or slow or needs replacing. Frustrating! This is the first time I have had a problem with loading pictures on GR. we shall see what we shall see.
    Thanks for the responses.
