    Good morning!
Tina. How excellent you had such a warm welcoming greeting! A nice change of pace for sure.

Dahlia, Enjoy more time with your family and have a safe trip.

I am making a pumpkin cheesecake to bring to the Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night. I figured it would be the best thing to bring b/c I can put it out on the table in the garage. Then it won't take up space in my fridge. I love it when the weather cools down like this b/c my garage becomes a gigantic cold room. Then in the winter it becomes a handy freezer at times too! I will be cooking a turkey with all the fixings on Monday b/c I always find when you go to a potluck dinner it is just not the same as a nice sit down dinner at home. Shopping is all done and put away so we are good to go. Den is enjoying his first day of vacation just relaxing around.

Hey everyone have a great day!

Funny it would not take my third pic? I was a cute turkey made out of a quilt and one of the patches had a Canadian flag.
    HAPPY CANADIAN THANKSGIVING WEEKEND!!!
To those who are celebrating it!
    HAPPY COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND TOO!

    Good afternoon!

It is chilly out there!! Low 40'sF right now.. up to low 50's. It was near 80 on Thursday! Milwaukee will be similar weather so I'll have to pack some warm clothes. I'm actually supposed to be packing now.

Joce, thank you! The pumpkin cheesecake sounds great and how nice you'll be doing a full Thanksgiving meal Monday too! Glad to hear Den is enjoying his vacation so far.

    Happy Holidays everyone!!

    Happy Saturday to everyone!
Congratulations Tina! I endorsed your work on LinkedIn :-D
Today I am dusting and washing clothes ... the usual weekend routine. Hubby is working and our daughter will be coming home this weekend for a quick visit (Yay!) Even tho she isn't far, we are so thankful she enjoys coming home.
I will be making a healthier version of Mac & Cheese later using whole wheat pasta. I started writing a blog ... Life In The Jett Stream ... check it out if you get a chance.

Hello all. Computer connection issues, I have been on the phone with BrightHouse all morning. I can't keep a signal. ARGH

Going to get a cut and color. Can't stand the 2 inch long stripe along my part. Going to get short hair, something wash and wear for the next 5 weeks.

My family always wants me to make the pumpkin cheesecake. I love making it with a gingersnap crust. I think this year it will get a lovely salted caramel stir in the cheesecake part with some chopped pecans for crunch.

Liv is in Orlando to visit Wonderworks? I haven't heard of it. Must google if I can keep service,

Dinner is Octoberfest foods.....sausages, sauerkraut, smashed new potatoes for Fred, stewed apples, pretzels and grainy mustard (Fred). Chopped salad for me.

Dahlia, Keep warm and safe and have a good time:)

Laura, Thank you. What are you cooking today?

Jett, Mac and cheese is always great! I checked out your blog and you have done just a great job. Congrats on not being on FB or Twitter for over 6 months! Enjoy your time with your daughter it is good she likes coming home!

Tina, Have fun getting your hair done you will feel like a million bucks after and you just have to love short hair for hassle free care. I did make the cheesecake with a gingersnap crust but the addition of a caramel swirl and pecans would really take it over the top! Oh well next time it is done now and in the garage sitting out on a table across from Ralph the turkey LOL I hope they get along! I had to Google Wonderworks also and it looks like great fun with lots to do. They even had a 4D theater and an amazing game magic dinner what a neat place it is! I hope Liv has a super time there. October or Oktoberfest foods are always the best to me any how as it is my favourite time of the year.

No cooking for me today. We went to a meme0trial service for one of Brian's long time work associates. Quite sudden and he is inlay 8 months older than my Mr. Sad. Anyway I had a nice steak at Miller's Field and Mr. Had the American pizza. Off to home to finish watching the gator game. Gators aren't doing too well in the swamp today.

Still working with Bright House on connection issues....it is a maddening condition. I have not got the cut and color due to my frustration with the internet. One service tech with Roadrunner said, "don't use Chrome", the other said "don't use Internet 9". One said, "move the router" Another said, "It is your microwave" My microwave is not in use 24/7. Good grief. I want some credit for this expensive Roadrunner service that won't stay connected. Doggone it.
94 feet of fence is missing along my back yard. NN (nasty neighbor tore down our shared barrier), I have to leash the dogs until further notice and get a new fence built. He is the most loathsome A** in the world. I do hope his little dogs don't slip under the huge gaping holes under his fence and get hit by a car. He wanted me to pay to cut down the slash pine on our property or else. I found out later that he was told if he got my permission to remove the tree, it was worth 1200 dollars. Money he would collect to pay for his new fence.........without letting me know the arborist would save the tree and pay him for the removal. I said, "NO cut down" and he is retaliating. So I have to scramble and find fencing to be delivered for Fred and Willie to install before a) I lose a dog, b) we get written up by the city by not having our pool enclosed c) CB eats a munchkin dog from behind us.
Laura, sorry for today's sadness.....it hurts to lose those special people you have spent time with in life....work/family/friends all create a special place in your heart and any loss is hard to take. Blessings to you and Brian.
Jett, I love a blog and I look forward to following yours. Blogs are fun!!
Dahlia, send that c hilly weather my way soon. too hot to bear here. Hugs honey.

I came home from work to a bunch of houseflies?? where and why I have no idea. any suggestions other than the fly swatter?
I made ths soup tonight, not sure if I am a fan of the kale. something made the soup a little on the bitter side. Not sure if it was the kale or the leeks (I had them in the freezer for a long time)

Laurie, it is the kale. Leeks are sweet no matter what. I'm having issues finding good kale recipes. So far Marie and Dahlia are the winners in the kale love.
Houseflies? Hmmmmm. I saw something on Pinterest but for the life of me, I don't remember the hint......let me try to find the link!
