Cobbler, Crisp, Crumble or Betty Sunday

  • notyourmomma 9 years ago
Okay, what is the difference? Regional terms for the same fruit type filling topped with a sweet dough or crumble topping, or oatmeal or bread crumbs?

Sleep study tonight. I'm taking my favorite pillow and hope that because I'm dog free....I'll cooperate for the study and sleep.

Cheeseburgers tonight. No tater tots here, sadly. Baked beans and broccoli cheese bake (in the toaster oven).

If I had some lovely peaches, you would find some kind of peachy cobbler, crisp, crumble on our table. I like the sweet dough of a cobbler, the brown sugar and cinnamon in a crumble topping. I saw Trisha Yearwood's recipe where her grandma made a double layer blackberry cobbler. That was totally new to me and it looked great.

Happy Sunday, dear ones. May your day hold quiet blessings and happiness with the ones you love.

Morning Tina!! Your making me hungry with all the cobbler, crisp, crumble talk! Whatever the difference is, they all go extremely well with vanilla ice cream right?! :) Good luck on the sleep study tonight, I don't know what I would do if I had to do that, probably just lay there awake all night lol. Jealous of your cheeseburgers.

Woke up this morning to a quiet, empty house. I LOVE IT! Had a craving for bacon, so I went to the drawer and there was none! All frozen darnit! Oh well, I made a smoothie consisting of a banana, almond milk, couple Tbs of almond butter, sprinkle of cocao nibs. It's delicious :) No plans but to pitter patter around the house. Dinner tonight is http://www.supergluemom.com/paleo-chili-recipe-all-meat-veggie/ adding in some stew meat as well. Well, off to be completely lazy and Pin stuff all day, have a good one :)

We got the fridge from Lowes. They would have hooked up the water line to the fridge it's already in place from the old one but when they went to do it they said it wasn't
Any good. Frank just went to the hardware store again because he watched a YouTube video on how to do it and realized when he did it last time he was missing a piece. Please keep your fingers crossed! For a dry kitchen and that it works!!! Mr fix it he ain't! Lol. I'm afraid.
Having a cookout today. Got to get moving

Hope all works with the fridge, Laurie. I love YouTube. It is how we fixed the washer finally.

    Have fun pinning, Michelle.

I am finally home, horses are fed, outdoor cats are fed and watered. They were so thirsty even though they had water in their bowl when we left. Temperature today hit 90.

My hip weather forecaster says rain is coming. The right hip joined in the protest. If so I will stay inside and vegetate. Neither one predicted when.

Laurie : Your Lowes sounds more user friendly that our Lowes - LOL

Michelle : No bacon! All that yummy, heart unhealthy, high fat goodness is indispensable to the human diet. Ha ha . Glad you found a substitute. The smoothie sounds great.

Tina : Wayne had a sleep study several years ago, and may have to do another because of changing doctors. He said they told him he never hit deep sleep and was awake over 11 times. No wonder he would fall asleep during the day. The Cpap machine did help, and best of all, he stopped snoring! So I got some sleep, too!

We stopped at WalMart on the way home to pick up some stuff for my daughter and to get a few minor things for ourselves. We saw this, and that, and the other, decided to get some citrus tea, and filled the back of the car. Lesson : never stop at WalMart unless you have a list and stick to it. I was given some more cherry tomatoes and plan of fixing Jo-Jo _Ba's Canned Roasted Cherry Tomatoes.

I have to go referee cats. Mary wants out and A.C. wants to ambush her and Mel is in the middle.
