Easy like Sunday Morning

My aim today is to 'move like snail'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65lZt1EEW4E

Because I was a wobble weeble yesterday and we did NOT go out, we will try try again today. I'm having the weirdest pain hit me out of nowhere and I will yelp (loudly) randomly. It scares Fred. Plus, I was so unsteady on my feet, he could only see me falling. Falling is not a good thing.

If he wakes, we might try a Sunday Brunch, otherwise, I might have him take a trip to IC Sharks and get us some fresh Florida spiny lobsters. The harvest season began yesterday and we can steam them at home. With Rick's gift, we could get some pink shrimp and some fresh monkfish. I won't scare a diner with my hollering, plus would be cheaper. I'm a mess.

Karen, I've given up standing in the kitchen. I have a sturdy stool that I perch on and tackle all my chopping in one area. It helps. I know canning can be hard on your back.

Hope all who were traveling arrived safely. I do wish the rest of the ODD group to have an easy Sunday.

Have a little pun today. Smiles are free!

Morning Tina! Gosh I love that song by the Commodores and Lionel Ritchie...:)

We're having an easy Sunday morning so far...might get thunderstorms later thru Monday..very slight chance of rain, so that's a bit worrisome,,we don't need any lightening without rain..

I do hope your plans work out Tina dear...yum on the lobster..eating at home sounds perfect...no need to get all dolled up to go out, you can stay in your comfy clothes:) That's what I'd do!!!

We have no plans today..so maybe we'll watch "The Butler"..since my sister loaned me the DVD a few days ago:) Has anyone seen it?

    Dinner? I don't have a clue:)

    Wishing everyone a lovely Sunday:)

Love the songs and puns:) "Easy on Sunday Morning" is the way it is around here today and the sun is shining "Just Like Walking on Sunshine" too! A great way to start the day:) I think you are being very wise, Tina. Why take a chance on stairs and feeling wobbly, when you can get super fresh seafood right at your finger tips at home like that? I am always very very envious at the wealth of fresh seafood you get there! I have never had Monk fish, but would love to give it a try some day. Enjoy your lovely yummy seafood feast:)

Marie, I hope you get a good amount of rain. Gosh you really need it! I haven't seen “The Butler”, but how can you go wrong with a cast like that? Alan Rickman, Forrest Whitacker, Cuba Gooding etc. It is supposed to be based on a true story. I bet it will be really good. When it rains, it is great to cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie:)

Michelle, How is your Kid Free Weekend going?

Janet, I hope you were able to sleep on the plane and had a safe comfortable trip.

    Shona???

Laundry today and a bit of puttering around. I can't stand for long periods in the kitchen either. I am so short 4 ft 10 in. if I have my feet on the ground, there is no way I would be at counter level, if I used a stool! I have one of those fatigue mats and it helps a wee bit relieving a bit of the strain from my arms and back. We are having Vermont Maple Syrup Pork Chops with scalloped potatoes and fresh yellow beans with applesauce on the side. Tomorrow morning, I go back to the my eye guy in Ottawa, to see how my eyelids are coming along. I want to stop at a couple of places on the way home.

    Have a great day!

Just a quick check in. Landed safe and sound but didn't sleep on the plane. They overbooked and we were lucky enough to get bumped into First Class. The food and free champagne were great but I was having trouble figuring out all the buttons to adjust my seat and find my tv screen etc. :) Had a nap when we arrived in Cambridge and then I made us an egg and a pc. of toast as our stomachs are wonky from the time change. Forgot my adapter for my computer so can't plug it in. Rolling eyes. Using Jim's and then will have to go shop for another one tomorrow. About to head out for a walk to get oriented.
A seafood dinner with spiny lobster would be lovely Tina. I'm so so sorry to hear you're having such troubles. Have you heard from Liv?
Marie, "The Butler" is one of the best movies I've seen in a couple of years. We loved it!
Joce, I'm surprised you haven't had Monkfish as you're quite the seafood lover. I've had it a couple of times and it's lovely. Good luck with the laundry. Your dinner plans sound nice. Are you eyes feeling a lot better now?
Gonna eat dinner out but don't know where yet.
    Wishing everyone a great day.

The weather is crappy, not sure if we will be able to have a beach day it looks like rain all week.

Just back from church. Hit a thunderstorm when we dropped our daughter off. It was so bad we could hardly see. Pulled over and got an overly-high-calorie-hot fudge malt and waited until it let up. Some nearby areas got 2 inch hail. We got more much-needed rain at home. More expected Monday.

Tina - lobster sounds wonderful. In this part of the country we don't see much in the way of fresh seafood.

So how is Florida? Chicken picata and rice - yummy.

Joce - at last, someone shorter than me. I used to say 5'4 1/2" but I think I've lost a bit of height. Now if the weight would just follow! LOL.

Janet - hope England is treating you well.
