Fathers Day!

Good afternoon! Happy Fathers Day and it is also Summer Solstice the longest day of the year. We are having the BBQed chicken legs I did yesterday with potato salad, deviled eggs and either coleslaw or a chef's salad. We are dropping my car off at my mechanic's so it will be there first thing in the morning for them. We will also be putting up the wooden blinds up on the Bay Window and I hope Den doesn't get too frustrated doing it and that they fit well and look good. Crossing my fingers he measured correctly this time, otherwise I know him he will blow a gasket! Anyways just stopping by to wish everyone a pleasant day.

    Hello all,
    Frank got back last night.
He wanted to hang out by the pool and relax but the weather did not cooperate. I made pasta with a meat sauce and garlic bread. For dessert coconut cake courtesy of pepperidge farm. Franks favorite. And a margarita.

Chicken sounds great, Joce. I haven't heard the term "blow a gasket" since leaving Ohio. It must be a Midwest term. Cole slaw sounds good, too. We had pot luck at church so neither of us will be hungry - but there are pork chops in the refrig. so maybe........esp. with Laurie's margarita.

It is hot and muggy, the entire week will be in the 90's. Hay is on the agenda this week.

We just hot back. Wayne is going to the hayfield. I am supposed to be closing my eyes for a short nap.

    Hi to everyone!

Hi! Oh I didn't it was Summer solstice Jose! Crossing fingers the blinds go well and look good for you, I'm sure they will.

I could use a margarita right now Laurie :)

    A nap sounds good Karen!

Went and got lunch at Freebirds then stopped by Kohls to get Michael some new khakis and found a great deal on a T-shirt for him as well. Bri has been complaining all of her clothes are getting too small so we picked her up some things too. Now we are just all relaxing. Dinner will be Janet's Lemon Rosemary Brined Roast Chicken along with asparagus and leftover Maries Potato Salad from last night. Hope everyone's day is going great!!
