HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN! Wishing you a wonderful celebratory day! Are you going out for dinner? Have a great time no matter what you end up doing.

I am just enjoying my second cup of coffee and then need to pack. Jim and I hope to be out of the house by 11. Jim's going to put some part up on his Dad's cottage roof Sunday to hopefully prevent the snow avalanches from taking off the chimney again this year. So we will drop off the part when we get there and then go check in to our Motel. We're having dinner tonight at a restaurant called "Rhubarb".

I'm leaning towards the Pork Schnitzel cuz for some reason I still don't have my fill. :) The weather report looks bad for the entire weekend so I hope our niece has rented a tent since it's an outdoor wedding. I'm bringing along some sausage and cheese and nibblees and a bunch of us are going to bring breakfast ingredients as well as there is supposed to be a full kitchen in the Clubhouse that we can use.

I just took another look at that fire link you provided Marie. Didn't realize the level of detail it gave either. Pleased to see that it says the Cherokee fire is 65% contained but it says it 8360 acres were burning. WOW! That is so awful. :(

Nice menu the restaurant has Janet. Hard for me to narrow it down to one. Safe Travels and hope the weather cooperates.

I'm craving a good burger so maybe we will go out to lunch today. Need to swing by the grocery store too. Other than that not too much going on here. Wishing everyone well and will check back later.

Have a safe trip, Janet and I do hope the weather changes for the wedding. Nice that they have a full kitchen in the Clubhouse that you can use. Cute name for a restaurant. I think I would order a schnitzel as well.

Den has another car appointment today. His radio/entertainment center whatever you call it now has had a mind of its own. It even comes on and screeches when the car is turned off. The mechanic at the dealership had never seen anything like it! They ordered a part for it to the tune of $500.00! Apparently, if it had of been a safety issue it would have been a recall. Den enjoys the radio during his hour drive back and forth to work and radio whatever you want to call it also has something to do with the BlueTooth. They have the part and it will be fixed within an hour, so they say. Not much else happening here today. Den will have a rib eye steak and oven fries for dinner and I am not sure what I am going to have as it is too early for me to tell.

Ugh on car problems, Joce! What a strange thing....electrical? We had a car whose electrical wiring was obviously done by a trained baboon! It drove us up a wall!

AC is miffed....he is not allowed to go outside and has been a brat all morning. Jumped on Mel, just a royal pia.

Ended up going out for dinner last night so the "Dogs" didn't happen. Maybe tonight but not sure. Daughter and I have to go shopping after work for a baby shower tomorrow. (talk about cutting it close, lol) So not sure if she and I will grab a bite out or not.

We had the choice of buying the land next to us or a motor home. They cost far too much for my budget. A decent, even smaller one, costs over $100,000. Even the Class C's I saw are $89,000 plus.

Yikes, $500.00 to fix the radio Joce? Ouch :( At least it’s a quick fix though.

Got this made for lunch today Cheese Ravioli With Pumpkin Sauce I’ll review it in the IMI in a bit :) Have to pick up both kids early from school for Bri’s ortho appt. After that we are rushing home to get Bri ready for her school’s Halloween dance. Afterwards her friends parents are picking up her and a bunch of kids for her friends b-day party at Escape Kemah. That is super weird about Den's car Joce. Do you have to pay for that out of pocket or is it covered under the warranty? As much as I love technology sometimes I miss the good 'ole days when everything was simple or not at all.

How come AC can't go outside Karen? I'm not comfortable driving anything bigger than an SUV Karen. I can't even imagine driving something I would tow. Lottery money will afford me a driver and a huge motor home ... someday.

Hi Kimmer. Good luck shopping today for the baby shower. Do you have an idea what you are getting? Great you went out last night to eat, perhaps the hotdogs tonight.

Just back from Mom's..My sister and I cut up a hanging limb that broke off of a tree from all the winds in the valley ..we used a tree trimming saw or whatever it's called...trimmed the branches then cut up the limb...glad that's taken care of...when Rick gets some free time, he's will just go ahead and take the tree down..I think it may be diseased and weak...

Janet, yes the Cherokee fire is the next hill over..the winds have sure hampered the fire fight...

Dinner will be Chicken Spaghetti, garlic bread and salad:)

Michelle, AC and the other cats were not allowed out because they are sometimes gone all morning and we had to leave early. AC is unhappy, Mel and Trouble sacked out on the bed, and Mauser curled up on the couch. AC tried his best to zip outside....we had to take things out the bedroom door bec he was planted by the front door. See you later.
