Morning! 1 AM? Wow I'm surprised your up this early Janet! Bryan And Loris Pulled Pork Bbq Or Ribs looks delicious, are you doing the pulled pork or the ribs?

My Mom and brother are coming over today to visit and then will leave with the kids for the long weekend. Monday we will meet them at a Mexican food restaurant for dinner and to pick up the kids and kind of a small celebration for Briauna's birthday which is Tuesday (Keni's too!):) Don't have a clue what's for dinner tonight, maybe chicken something? Have a great day everyone!!

    Good morning Janet.
As usual, your menu sounds really nice. Veggie trays are a favorite of mine. Carrot, green peppers, celery, tomatoes, green onions, BROCCOLI (grinning) .... very healthy and I am certain raw veggies do cancel out the calories in the dips..LOL.

I am on my first cup of coffee. Then the litter boxes need attention...the kittens knocked the lid off of their's and are informing me that it does not meet their specifications.

Still uncertain about the chances of getting the puppy. I Googled American Stafford terrier vs pit bull and there is a difference. Stafford terriers are much more tractable and not used for fighting. We shall see what we shall see.

One of the deer looks like it was scratched on its back and neck. Can't tell if it is surface cut or deeper. Maybe a run in with a branch or something. Or a tussle with its friend. The other possibility I don't want to think about. We do have predators and such.

The gov. has contracted out logging all around us and the commotion will likely disturb them. Sigh. Yesterday when Wayne's buddy stopped by they were in the yard. The littler one flagged its tail and scooted away. The bigger one flagged its tail and strolled off. Definitely a little buck. Wayne just left to feed horses....the doe scooted off and, again, the big dude strutted away, tail high, Mr. "I'm in charge" dude. They are so fascinating.

No real news here. All is quiet. The logging company graded the road and plan on putting more dirt and chat and rock on it. Now we need to do the curve and the hill in front of our house. The neighbor beyond offered to pay half so we shall see if they really do. Every time we grade / scrape it he spins his tires and leaves it worse than before. His wife has no problems. We have no problems. Put the truck in 4 wheel drive and away we go.

My low battery signal is on the iPhone so it is time to plug it in to recharge. Have a good day.

Oh my I would have a hard time staying up waiting for them! It is supposed to be SUPER COLD overnight and tomorrow too. Yesterday I nearly froze to death when I was out the wind was so bitter! I am sure your guests will enjoy that lovely dinner.
Enjoy your visit with your Mom and brother, Michelle. Very nice of them to give you a weekend off. We have a long weekend here as well, Monday will be Family Day.
I made pizza from scratch for dinner last night and Den said it was the best pizza he had in a long time. We have leftovers which are out in our garage right now frozen. I love my large freezer in the winter:) Den will have a rib eye steak and oven fries for dinner and I don't have a I have no idea what I am going to have yet.
    Wishing everyone a pleasant day!

Joce, I have no idea what to have for dinner, either. Rib eye steak would be great. Really need to go figure it out so I can grab something from the freezer. We had a Schwanns skillet dinner last night because I was still stuffed from late brunch/breakfast/whatever. Maybe a pasta except I am OUT of pasta unless we have a not-too-great no-cheese lasagna - no way.

The weather is supposed to be iffy on Sunday. Sleet, ice, snow -- but they keep changing the arrival time. First, it was Sunday night - then Saturday night - then Sunday morning - the noon on Sunday. Aargh! Missouri! It is windy today and cold - not freezing, just cold. Tomorrow the temp is supposed to be single digits.

Michelle, you all need to help me resist the cuteness of this pup. I need an older dog, not a puppy that resembles a pit bull. But those big eyes and submissive manner just is too much to resist. Sigh.

i was dozing on the couch when our company arrived. was up early as i like to be dressed and ready to hit the coffee button when i see movement. i'll crash early tonight i'm sure.
i'm doing the ribs michelle, and i cheat and use a store bought bbq sauce usually. :) enjoy your weekend and have a nice time at the mexican restaurant. fun @ bri's birthday. tell us how she likes her ring!
lol @ the broccoli karen. i just did cherry tomates, carrots and red pepper today. i do have celery i could cut up too if i remember. a puppy would be a lot of fun! :)
we're heading off to winterlude and a skate on the canal as soon as the baby wakes up. no skating for me. we're going to rent a sleigh to push me and the baby in. lol.
nice on your pizza joce! yum on den's ribeye.

Sounds like fun, Janet. I couldn't skate on ice (or roller skate on cement for that mater - ha ha) if my life depended on it. Maybe crawl, but ice and I don't do well on the same planet!

Cherry or grape tomatoes are good, too. Esp. the grape tomatoes, not so huge. I usually get lazy and mix sour cream with Lipton beefy mushroom mix or a salad topping mix or dill or whatever is in my refrigerator.

The guys, plus his buddy's step-GS, are out working on the carriage house metal. It will look really nice when / if ever finished. The step-GS will be moving into an independent living center the first of March. Then their work schedule can get back to normal. Finally.

With the weather coming in on Sunday I doubt if we will have church. They need to let him know NLT 7:30 A.M. since that is when we leave. I am so skeptical of the weather report because it can shift North or South or East or West or all of the above and leave us high and dry. Although this is supposed to cover the Ozarks and more, so we will get some sort of precipitation, starting as sleet -- ugh! Monday is supposedly hitting Norther Arkansas but miss most of Southern Missouri.

    See you later.

Good evening all. There's never much new here so I haven't posted. My days seem to revolve around what MIL wants and needs , working and cooking. Wishing everyone a great evening.

    Hi Bren
It is quiet here also. I dozed off and Wayne started watching "Battleship." When I came to it had about 1 1/2 hours to go. Not one of my favorite movies..ha ha. Anyhow, it is good to hear from you even if just a "hi." Have a good evening, yourself.
