    Good Morning Everyone.

I'm a bit tired this morning because neither of slept well last night and for no good reason and we were up very late, me even later, but I managed to sleep in some this morning.
I've been wanting a burger so will take Bison out to thaw and make bison burgers for dinner with something for sides.
Would like to get to the grocery store today so if wet weather comes this weekend I won't be stuck having to go out in it. The tropical storm that's coming is suppose to go up the east side.

I have a Bromeliad potted and keep it on the front porch. Yesterday I watered it and the cutest frog popped out. Surprised me because I was expecting him nestled down into the leaves. I moved the plant outside the screened in area so he could venture off and do his frog thing.

I'm sure traveling such a long distance and having to deal with COVID restrictions will be a bit challenging Janet. Good to drive as long as you can and get there sooner. Hope all runs smoothly.

I too couldn't find the IMI2 group Kimmer and wondered what happened. Glad you found it but too bad it's falling so far from popularity.

Good morning Linda! Good Morning Everyone!

Ugh on no good sleeps! GMTA because we're having Burgers tonight as well. I had two hamburger patties leftover frozen so took them out to thaw. Am thinking of maybe making a small batch of baked oven fries to go with them.Crispy Oven Fries
Will also use up the last of the
La Feria American Legion Secret Sauce
    with some halved cherry tomatoes.

Stay safe in that storm! Oh my goodness on the frog in the plant!!! That's SO awesome and what a fantastic photo!!!! He is the cutest ever!!!! I love him!

Busy morning here. Had coffee and then a fried egg, some home fries and a slice of toast out on the back deck for brekkie.

Jim noticed that the furnace guys drained the air conditioner in to our laundry pump which won't work as it's below grade and requires a pump to empty it. If we're not around if there's a problem or if the power goes out, the laundry tub could potentially overflow. So he called the guy that did it who said he hadn't seen a pump and they're going to call back and make an appointment to fix it. They were super good. They cleaned up everything yesterday and were so polite and thorough. Really pleased with the job.

Did up the dishes and Jim has our neighbour Craufurd over for coffee. Once he leaves Benjamin wants to have a video-chat so there goes the morning and early afternoon! Think I'll make a batch of Won Ton soup for lunch.

How was your dinner out last night Kimmer?

Wishing everyone a great day! TGIF!!!!

Went grocery shopping and it was surprisingly busy and annoying. I asked the cashier why it was so busy and she said everyone is probably stocking up because of the hurricane. Umm … what hurricane … the storm going up on the east side that'll be as if?
A lady in one of those electric carts was most annoying. DH wanted something out of a freezer case and was getting ready to cross to that side and she zoomed in cutting him off. I didn't say anything and we patiently waited for her to get what she needed. But … she's hemming and hawning, pulled one thing out, then is thinking about more. Finally I just started coughing uncontrollably within 2 feet of her and like magic she grabbed what she wanted and moved along. Love the power of a cough or sneeze these days.
I finally made up my mind and ordered a red light/near infrared light pad for a reasonable price. I think LD will benefit greatly from it. I can use it too.

We will have corn-on-the-cob with our burgers tonight and a salad. Oh-No on the furnace guys draining the air line in to your laundry pump Janet. Glad you are pleased otherwise with the job.

Oh dear at the bad shopping experience Linda but I have to LOL @ the annoying lady in the electric cart. LOLOL. I've had similar experiences with people humming and hawing and they honestly seem totally unaware that there is anyone else in the store whatsoever. LOL @ how you got her to move. That's hilarious. I am SO paranoid to sneeze or cough when I'm out in public now. As you say, it causes quite a reaction. LOLOLOL.

My Mom just called and is back home safe and sound from her procedure in Winnipeg. Now she is just going to kick back and wait for our arrival. :)

I normally don't behave so badly unless provoked and today I was provoke. She knew what she did, knew we too wanted to get in that section, but just went about her 'entitled' business. She wasn't even an older person. Younger than me and I'm sure behaves this way to get her way.

    Great news about your mom!!

Good evening and hello to all. Well, it is now a hurricane Linda. Not sure what effects you will get as it's at the east of the state but still looks like you will get some weather out of it. We are pretty safe up here. Only predictions are windy and possibly gusty rains on Sunday. That is great news with your mom Janet! Bet she can't wait to see you guys! To bad about the IMI2 group. I didn't really participate but always like ready everyone's take on recipes. Where is everyone lately?? Dinner out last night was, well, ok. Seems one of our favorite places is losing it's "shine" so to speak. I wasn't feeling anything meat like so I ordered a salad, corn on the cob and a baked potato with cheese and butter. They forgot the cheese :( Worse thing in the world for me, lol! I did mention it and they said they could bring some out but the thing is, they (usually) serve it already hot with the butter and the cheese. So when you get it, it's already a lovely gooey cheese and butter potato. So I said, don't bother now. Hubs had a pressed cuban, which generally are very, very good there. But apparently they forgot to put mayo and mustard on it so it was quite dry. Last time we were there was a bit disappointing if I remember correctly. Just things forgotten that you would not expect. Also, I think part of the problem is a lot of the regular wait staff seem to no longer be there. All new faces.

Made a chef salad here tonight with hard boiled egg, ham and turkey. Hit the spot on this ever so warm day. Really did not want to fire up the oven or even range and hubs wasn't feeling grilling anything. Will probably make some popcorn later , in my new popper :) while we try to find a decent movie to watch.

    Hope all Sleep Sweet....................as always.......................
