Here's to a Fun Friday!

Good Morning Everyone! It sounds like the rain has moved on and we're supposed to get some sunshine today which will be nice. I have no clue what to make for dinner this evening.

Jim and I are enjoying our first cup of coffee in front of the TV. Our Sens Hockey Game didn't start 'til 10 last night so we only watched a half hour of it and then PVR'd the rest so get to finish it this morning.

I'll ice my cookies after breakfast and later on this morning we'll drop some off to both my friend Jo and her husband and my friend Diane and her husband who had the knee surgery. I'll bring them fresh apples and cranberry jelly as well.

Need to peruse some appy recipes as we'd like to invite our new neighbours over for drinks sometime soon.

Jim's brother is in Singapore at the moment on business and his wife went with him for fun. My girlfriend Tammy is in Ireland with her family and my cousin Randy is in Vietnam with his wife. I'm quite envious of all their adventures! :)

Wishing everyone a great day! TGIF!

I just noticed something weird. Hoping it's something I've done but.......

I had 96 recipes tagged with the bookmark 'Made and loved'. Recipes made by others that I've tried and really enjoyed. When I hit that bookmark now (and all my other bookmarks actually) only two show up. Plus....if I go to bookmarks....it used to list all the recipes I'd bookmarked with the most recent at the top of the list.....now I only have two bookmarks. :( Anyone else have this problem?

Oh weird!!! Okay....it's better than I thought, but weird! It turns out that there are large spaces in between the bookmarked recipes. I think they're all there....there are just spaces in between each other. So strange! But better than having them disappear altogether.

Jim has requested English Muffin pizzas for dinner while watching a movie. How easy is that? There's a movie on Pay-per-vu that we'd wanted to see in the Theatres and never made it called 'Yesterday'. It has a 'Beatles' theme. :)

My bookmarks are all I order, but it would not surprise me if something messed them up. I probably have too many and need to delete some! We are still on the RV trip .... talked to my house sitters and all is well. We are back from breakfast buffet at Shoneys....very good but also quite filling. I don’t usually care for Shoneys but this one was really good!

Fritz is enjoying his time. He likes meeting the other small dogs and wants to play. We and other owners have been keeping them in their mannerly behaviors and Fritz is only permitted to greet sociable dogs. Home tomorrow!

That's odd that my bookmarks appear wonky and not yours Karen. So strange. LOL. I have WAY too many as well and totally need to delete some. Glad you had a lovely breakfast out and are on another adventure. Sounds like Fritz is enjoying himself immensely as well. :) Safe travels home.

Called my Mom. She fell Sunday night getting to the truck after dinner out at my Aunt Irene's. Thankfully she fell on the lawn and has no broken bones....only bruises.

    Good Afternoon Everyone.

DH had his 'pre-surgery' eye appointment this morning and all went well. They give you drops and eye treatments to use prior to the big day. They now want you to take a vitamin supplement of fish oil and other things to help moisturize the eye but I'm not going to have him take it. Sorry. If I don't know where the product and ingredients are being sourced from he is not taking it. Fish oil is now notorious with containing heavy metals and rancidity. He didn't take it 2 years ago when he had the other eye done.
After, we went to Cracker Barrel and had a lousy breakfast. Eggs and coffee were cold and the bacon was greasy and not cooked crisp. I did enjoy the blueberry pancakes.
I'll get the soup going in a bit. It'll be the first time I'm making it Janet. It looks like something I will like.

Nice that the rain has moved out Janet. Wow, could dinner tonight be any easier. Sounds perfect to me. Your people are visiting some exotic locations and I bet will have some great photos and stories to share when they return.
My bookmarks look ok but how do you mark them 'Made and Loved'? Awful that your mom fell but great that she only got a bruise. Sounds funny to say great to something awful doesn't it but a bruise is better than a broken something.

Nice that you are RVing again Karen. Glad you are able to be doing it and glad Fritz is adapting and enjoying it too.

Soup is done and it's a great recipe, great in that the measurements and everything work and when finished looks just like the picture. I'm just not in the mood for a kielbasa based soup at the moment. Ut-Oh.

Glad your DH's appointment went well Linda. Wow on Fish oil containing heavy metals. I hadn't heard that. I guess I'm a sheep because if a Dr. tells me to take something or gives me something to take I generally do it quite dutifully. You are correct in that we need to watch out over ourselves. Oh dear on the lousy breakfast at Cracker Barrel but at least the pancakes were good. As far as making a new 'folder' as it were for different categories of recipes on GR, I just go to the recipe page that I want to bookmark and then hit the 'Save' button. In that description area I write 'Made and Loved' and then it makes a seperate category in my bookmarks for anything tagged like that. I have one for 'Keni's recipes too. :)

We ran our errands in town and dropped off cookies, apples and cranberry jelly. Went to Chapter's and found two little books for Benjamin, a travel book for Tokyo and a collection of short stories that we know he enjoys reading. Also found Jim's sister one last item for her Christmas stocking stuffer present...it's a 'dog treat launcher'. LOLOL. It looks kind of like a space aged water pistol. It doesn't require batteries. You just open it up and fill it with smallish dog treats, then pull the trigger and a dog treat shoots out. I think it'll be great amusement for both her and her dog. LOLOL. Stopped at Sobey's and picked up a few groceries. Porkchops were on sale so I grabbed a pkg. of those.

We've just finished a late lunch but no biggie since dinner isn't a large one and it's easy to put together.

I research everything our doctors and veterinarians tell me/us or prescribed and at times don't follow their directive and for good reason. Example, his doctor told him to stop his blood thinner 2 days prior to the cataract surgery and that's wrong. DH doesn't and shouldn't stop it, not for what he's having done and his eye doctor confirmed it. Sometimes it's pick and choose your poison but at least I'm choosing.
I'll have to note your method of saving recipes. It'll make referencing back to something so much easier. Thanks!

So sweet to have dropped off cookies, apples, and jelly to your friends. I'm sure all very much appreciated too. Book stores are so much fun to shop. Glad you found some things.
