Holy Toledo Thursday

    Good Morning Everyone!
Caught this picture yesterday coming home. He was huge! Must have been between 10-15 feet. Massive. We were driving down the road and to the left was grass, then a canal, then land ... he was on the bank
Can't believe the picture didn't attach! and it won't let me upload it to my avatar. Need to run out for bloodwork and will finish post later. Uffff. Should have named this post Total Bust Thursday. Sorry all.

LOL. No worries about the picture not loading Linda. Weird it wouldn't upload to your Avatar either. Now however it is left up to our imagination just what it was that you saw yesterday. :) I'm going to guess an alligator.

Jim and I are heading home probably before noon. Jim got a ton accomplished for his Dad.

No idea what we'll do for dinner.

    Good Morning!
What did you take a picture of, Linda? The avatar pixel amount is much smaller than when you put a picture up in a thread. Maybe that was your problem? Good luck with your bloodwork and have a nice day!
I hope your daughter feels better today, Karen. I hope all is sorted out soon for her sake.
We ended up having a grilled ham steak with steamed waxed yellow bean and boiled baby potatoes for dinner last night and it was Yummy! It is overcast and they are calling for thunderstorms this afternoon and I hope we get some rain. Every time, they forecast
rain it seems to rain everywhere except here for some reason this year. My flowers and lawn need a good natural drink of water! Poor things. Dinner will be breakfast for dinner which will be easy for me.
    Wishing everyone a great day!

Back from having to run out and get blood drawn for routine "let's see where your at" blood work that I do every other year. Maybe because I wasn't able to have my "wake me up" cup of coffee I just should have stayed off the computer till another day.
It was a HUGE Alligator. He must have been the size of our couch (maybe bigger), enormous head and body. I'll try another day to get the picture up.

Just the usual here for the day. Celebrating 4 years of my imaginary Soap Shop opening. It was four years ago that I made my first batch of homemade soap. I'm proud of it because I taught myself and studied/read just about everything there was to read for about 4 months prior to actually doing it. Lye is nothing to play with or make mistakes with so I did my "homework".

Making a lot of headway on/at the house getting it ready to list. Have just about everything out that is going to storage, cleaned up the lanai, have touch up stuff to still do indoors, and need to get my computer set up for pictures. I like to take my own pictures and give them to the realtor because sometimes realtors just don't take good pictures. At least I'll put the effort into it so you see the room/house and the focal point isn't on the stuff or an empty corner of a room.
Have plans to see an early movie and dinner with friends tomorrow. DH wants to see Dinesh D'Souza's anti-Hillary Clinton film, "Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party," and so do the people we are going with. Maybe I'll be able to sneak out and into another theater to see something more enjoyable or at the least get a box of candy as a reward for the torture. I'm sure it's an enlightening film but I already know how corrupt politics are.

Yum on breakfast for dinner Joce. I hope we get more rain too although we have been luckier than you in that respect I think.

Very cool on the alligator Linda. We obviously don't get such creatures here. Happy Anniversary to your Soap Shop. :) Have you actually considered opening a business? Perhaps when you move? There is a great kiosk that sells home made soaps at our local Craft Market. They appear to do a brisk business. That movie does not at all appeal to me. I like to be entertained when I watch a movie, not depressed.

Now that I'm not working, and perhaps when we move, I may see if there is a market for it and try. My thoughts too regarding the movie.

Morning! Don’t worry about the picture not uploading Linda, it happens, oh and sideways pictures happen too :P Can’t wait to see the alligator though when you can get it to stick! Too cool! Oh and like Joce said, I always have to size down my pixels to about 550 to get them to stick here :) Good job at taking your own pics. I agree on the film choice, I’d be snoring away lol.

Awesome that Jim got so much done at your Dad’s Janet :) Safe travels!

Crossing fingers you get some rain Joce! Yum on breakfast for dinner.

Today Bri and I will be making her “fiddle” for her part in the play. Should be easy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtP1t4v7Os0
Got to go to rehearsal this afternoon and I pulled out some boudin for dinner. Will make some mashed potatoes ahead of time to reheat and pre chop some veggies that I can quickly saute while the boudin heats up. Have a great day everyone!!

We're home. Felt like we were driving all day! LOL! Stopped for lunch near Bancroft. I had a very nice pc. of panfried white fish with a Caesar salad and Jim had a toasted Western.
Our grass is SO long and we have company arriving tomorrow night. I was hoping it wouldn't need to be mowed yet but it does. :(
Hummingbird feeders are empty and I need to make a grocery list and change the bedding. Pulled out a couple pieces of Chicken Parmigiana that I had frozen and will thaw those for dinner along with some sliced tomatoes and avocados. I had a HUGE beefsteak tomato ready and waiting for me in the garden with a few more in a couple of days. I LOVE tomato season.

Hi. Wow on the 'gator! Knew there was a reason I never moved to Florida. Yipes!

Janet, our grass is in dire need of mowing. After this week, we need to do some big time yard work. Big pat on the back for all Jim's effort helping his dad.

Good luck on the fiddle project, Michelle.

Hope you (and we!) get rain soon, Joce. It runs just North or South and misses us.

Got daughter from the hospital. She goes back in a couple weeks for another round. Possible kidney removal. She is on pain killers and still fuzzy brained so I told her we were taking away the keys to her car. She was not impressed. GS swims this evening and she wants to watch so we will hang around to be sure all is well. I have a ton of housework to do so likely spaghetti tonight if anyone is hungry. Heaven knows if she or he will want anything. If they are not hungry it will be pb&j sandwiches.

ARGH! I forgot a tote bag at the cottage containing my BEST fry pan, my BEST pepper grinder, my container of Black lava sea salt (imperative for fresh tomato season) ANDDDD worst of all, my Daybook which contains all birthday's, appointments and PASSWORDS!!!!! There's bound to be something else good in there too that I haven't remembered yet. OMG. Kicking the wall really hard.

How cute on the fiddle Michelle, nice project!

Glad to hear DD is home with you Karen. Do you really think she would try and drive? I hope not, what she had done is serious and she shouldn't mess with her recovery.

Happy all got done at the cabin Janet and Oh No! leaving your important things there. How far a drive is it? Is it practical to go back and get them sooner than later?

Finally got some time and mixed up a batch of turkey burgers for the freezer. Made them normal size this time and got 6 burgers out of about 1.5+ pounds of ground turkey. I bought the four pack at Costco and one weighs a little over 1.5 pounds. I've got to cut back on portions which is my biggest downfall. I eat relatively healthy just too much.

Ugh on the forgotten book, esp. with passwords. Hope it returns soonest!

Linda, she won't drive while at my house. Haha. Her boss said he would keep her on the role and she can work when able. Crossing fingers. Wayne says we are both alike, meaning stubborn.

Watching GS swim. He is flirting with the girls. Aargh! So funny. Their party is tomorrow so will drop them off and pick them up.
