It's Sunday, And Janet's Birthday!!

Morning!! Just wanting to wish Janet a very Happy Birthday and an awesome day :)

We are about to get ready for our second day of the tournament. We had a long day yesterday 4 games and 4 wins! We have at least 3 more games today, could be more, and hopefully we will be bringing home a trophy :) Gotta get going, wishing everyone the best day!!

Woke up to more snow, just a light layer. It will probably rain later and wash it all away. We raked upped most of the leaves and cleaned out the gardens yesterday. We planned on cutting some tree stumps today, but I guess it depends on weather. I plan on making chicken verde for dinner. I have just over two pounds of tenders and thighs so I'll probably do it in the crock pot.
I woke up and my son never went to bed, he's still on the computer! Teenager's :S

Ugh snow again, Shona! Holy Colter will be so tired he won't be able to think!
We had MacDonalds for breakfast and I have everything ready for the baby shower this afternoon. I am picking up Alyssa's grandmother on the way as she didn't have anyone to drive her there. She is a sweetheart and it will be nice to have someone to talk to on the way there. Dinner might be pork chops but at the moment I am not absolutely sure.

Yuck on the snow Shona, the east coast got snow as well. Yup, those boys don't know when to go to bed. Enjoy your chicken dinner.

Baby showers are so much fun, Joce, enjoy. I love seeing all of those tiny outfits. How sweet of you to pick you the grandmother.

I didn't get much done yesterday so I'm going to try today. Laundry is still piling up. Our daughter will join us so I'll roast a chicken and serve that with salad and roast potatoes. Have a great day everyone.

Thanks Shona! Ugh on the snow. Please keep it in Alberta. Yummers on chicken verde. Oh my goodness on Colter pullin' an allnighter! Benjamin is a nighthawk as well and I always fretted. :)

Thanks Joce! I made fried eggs with peameal bacon and toast for everyone for breakfast but I could have totally have gone for some McD's. :) Have a super good time at the baby shower.

Our company just left. We had a nice day yesterday and toured them all around Pakenham and Almonte doing some family tree digging. Dinner went well but my chickens took FOREVER to cook and so my asparagus and stuffed potatoes were a tad overdone. Hate when that happens.

My Ottawa Sens play this afternoon at 3 and since it's my birthday I think they should win so I'll be cheering them on.

For my birthday dinner Jim is going to grill up a couple of tenderloins and then I'm going to make a plate of shrimp cocktail and a plate of tomato slices sprinkled with black lava sea salt and fresh ground pepper.

Bren, I'm with you, I didn't accomplish as much yesterday as I intended. New batch of laundry started. Taking my time with the chores because I'm tired. Dogs dug a new hole under fence and I spent early morning trying to round up escapees.

Leftover pork rice morphed into aaomelette morning omelette with rice and veggies. It was good but that ended my stretching two pork chops into three hearty meals. I've got some skinny fajita steak that I think will top a salad for supper.

We finally got a nice amount of rain. Not sure how much but it started to rain very lightly yesterday around dinner, just enough to make everything humid then it stopped and I thought "oh no" but we had a nice soft rain that started in the wee early morning hours and lasted a few hours. Anything helps and hopefully will stop all the wildfires.

Not sure yet what to make for dinner. It'll be an indoor cooking day so perhaps fish, it's always easy and good.

Never did get to any of the paperwork accumulating in my office and hopefully will get to at least start it today. But I did get to color my hair so I'm happy about that. At least for now the gray is covered (lol!!)

Thanks Tina! As part of my birthday presents Jim got me a large "Sparty Cat" stuffed animal. (The mascot for the Ottawa Senators). He's adorable and will help me cheer this afternoon. Good luck with the laundry. Oh dear at the digging dogs.
