Wishing all my Cooking Ladies and their families the warmest happiest Christmas ever and the best of all possible New Years.

Must off to the kitchen to make Jo_jo_bas Brussells Sprouts and heat up the Butternut Squash With Apples And Cranberries . We'll be off to Kevin and Cher's for the gathering of the clan and the pouring of the George Washingtons Eggnog .

Hope Santa was good to you all.

We've opened all our presents. There are a lot of books and bottles of wine in our living room! :) Talked to my Mom already and Jim will be calling his siblings as the day goes on. Bright and sunshiny here in Ottawa. I gave the crows some leftover puff pastry squares from the Almost Escargot recipe last night and they thought that was a great Christmas treat. :)

Sister called and gave me til 5:00 o'clock to show up. So, we have opened the presents, eaten our breakfast and listened to Christmas Carols. My prep is done and I'm taking a nap.

Retro Rollande et Pierre appetizer tray, Caprese, Whipped horseradish sauce, brandied mushrooms are done. Lemon bars....I'll tackle them at 3:30.

Janet, The kids are going out to Angie' grandparent's farm and they are taking a thirty pound turkey and a bunch of things out there. They should have a great time as all their cousins will be there. They will show up here tomorrow afternoon for appy's and
things. So I am just relaxing a bit today. At the moment I am baking up a lb of bacon
(which we don't eat very often) so I can have it ready to pop off a few slices from the freezer whenever I need it. Going to use some in our brunch today though.

Pass me some of that turkey Laurie! I put mine in at 6. It's not big. Expected to eat at 8. Everything else is all done but not the turkey. Argh! Trying to appear calm to other family members. Can hang on for about another 15 min. before true panic sets in. :)
