    Good Morning!

So YES! I'll Have Another won in the last few yards on Sunday! It was an awesome race, and I wished that I had money on him again! lol Here's to him winning the Triple Crown! : )

HEY to everyone! Been one of those busy busy weekends. Found some neat things at the Hwy 11 yardsales on Sat. Got some neat ice cream sundae dishes, and a bowl that will be good for potato salad and stuff like that when we have a potluck, I never have a bowl to take stuff in...I just use my green mixing bowl with a handle on it that I bought at the dollar store when Jason was a baby! lol Also found bday presents for my friend Donna! She loves old dishes, etc, and she has this whole set of those brown dishes...gosh...they are so hard to describe...will have to google for a pic...anyway...found 3 pieces that I know she doesn't have, and they guy didn't know what he had! They were only $2 each! I will never be able to wait til August to give them to her. lol OK., I found a pic...so the pic is what those dishes look like. : ) (The name escapes me).

OH...and the thread title...the remote to the bedroom tv is missing! Bryan changed it to news before he left. We made up the bed. I started to leave and NO REMOTE! It's not under the bed, on either night table, on the dresser, or the shelves...(it goes on the dresser by the tv)...??? Maybe I should have name it Losing My Mind Monday...lol

Hope everyone who is traveling is safe and having a blast!!
    HAPPY MONDAY to everyone!!!

Hi Lori! And of course all to follow:)

Saw the eclipse last night here at home, we had to walk up the street where there weren't as many trees to actually see it...I didn't take my camera so no pic of me in the helmet..There were a few people standing in the road along with us who had the glasses, they were kind enough to let us use them to take a look...the eclipse was red with the glasses and green with the helmet...It was pretty cool!

Had an early dinner at our friend's house, filet mignon , cornish game hen for me, polenta, butternut squash & spinach risotto, salads & angel food cake for dessert..I was tired yesterday, and it was hot so we decided to watch the eclipse from home, went to bed early now i feel much better:)

Lori, What a find, love the brown dishes, I remember seeing these when I was a kid!!!

Love what you're having for dinner...I think I'll grill chicken and have salad (lettuce from Dad's garden) and corn on the cob...easy!

    Good Morning!!!
Lori, sounds like you had a productive weekend. I didn't find a thing I was looking for a the flea market yesterday except an American flag for our flag pole which we need to replace every couple months or so....Nice dishes you got for Donna. I'm sure she'll love them.
Hey Marie....Too bad about not getting a pic of you in your helmet....How's your Dad doing?? Supper sounds yummy. We did chicken and corn on the cob last night.
Took some pork chops out for supper. Haven't decided what to do with them yet. Might make Easy Smothered Pork Chops

Hi everyone! Thought I'd drop in for a second. Sounds like you are all going to have a great dinner tonight! Tonight we're keeping it simple. We're going fishing with some friends so probably , fruit and I'm going to make some cookies. Here is that japanese curry recipe that I wrote about a few days ago. I like it better with ground beef, but it's also really good with chicken. Have a great day!

Corinne, HI! Dad's nose still bleeds off & on..he has a Dr's appt today, we need to find out what is causing this...we picked some vegs yesterday, & watered...he uses the handle of a hoe to pickup the water hose because he is not supposed to bend over...we rode in his golf cart to the back forty where his garden is:) Good times with my Dad..Thank you for asking dear:)
I am sorry I didn't get a picture (am I really???) of me and my helmet...I really didn't feel good, and just wanted to get it over with...I should post a pic of myself...I just don't have any, never think to take any...not really a picture taking kind of gal! I want to try that recipe for pork chops soon...Rick would love me forever... LOL

Hi MarieC (right??) Thanks so much for the Japanese Curry link!!! Love sandwiches for dinner!!

    Cheers Dahlia!!!
Lori you are just full of energy today. Back at work and it is so quiet in the office I had to go make sure there was someone here besides me.
Steaks are thawing for dinner. I'll do something with those nice green beans or maybe just asparagus. Need to make soup from that asparagus. You can't just get a little bit .

    Howdeeee!!
Love the brown tea pot! I have a bowl with a lid that I bought at a yard sale for $1.00.

Well my daughter has lost 10lbs since she's been home from college. She is excited about that!
Why does it seem like pay week takes so long for Friday to get here? Haha
It's meatless Monday so we are having spaghetti. Hope you all have a great night!

Did a quick skim.....just got home! Had a great time.
    Zucchini Feta Pancakes
    for Benjamin for dinner tonight.
    I just made a
Chickpea Sweet Pepper And Bocconcini Salad
and then Jim and I will BBQ up a steak. We ate a lot of food over the weekend so aren't starving by any stretch!
How fun to hear from Dahlia in Amsterdam!
Lori....I love that teapot. That is totally my style. Love it. Oh no on the missing remote. I heard a funny expression this morning that I'm going to begin using on a regular basis in front of a lot of my sentances...."After the martians stole my memory"....:)
Cool you saw the eclipse Marie. As far as I know it wasn't apparent here. What a gorgeous dinner at your friends place! Wow! Any news from your Dad's appointment?
Envying you the corn on the cob Corinne. Love that stuff but it doesn't get good here 'til July/August.
Hi MarieC! Shall go check out that curry recipe. Thanks!
Yum on asparagus soup Laura. I'd love some! It's a holiday Monday here in Canada. Victoria Day. A celebration of the Queen's birthday!
Hi Jett! Spaghetti sounds great. Great for your daughter. That's excellent. Good for her!
    Where's Joce and Tina?

I'm working 8 a.m. to 6:30 again, mandatory overtime this week. I'm tired and cranky.
Hoorah, Dahlia glad you love Amsterdam!
Laura, I'd love a quiet office. Ours is never quiet. Nice dinner plans.
Marie, great dinner you had at your friends. Neat that you saw the eclipse...at that time I believe I was watching the inside of my eyelids. Remind me to email the cornish hen marinade from Food and Wine...an Asian style hen, that looked awesome.
Jett, yum on spaghetti....only dinner Fred can make. LOL Tell your girl, congrats on the weight loss. Liv has not lost her freshman 15.
Lori, you owe me an address, honey. I've lost my address book as well as what was left of my mind. Love the pottery, nice you found some for your friend,
No luck, Corinne....If Fred drives me to work, he will have the car to make it to the post office and ship you the platter. Love smothered pork chops.
Mariec, when i work this schedule, we eat a lot of sandwich suppers. I don't mind but Fred gets a bit cranky. He likes hot food for supper.
Janet, Nadia from Bitchin Kitchen had a vegan show yesterday that made me think of Benjamin...it was an awesome show. She made a veggie curry that ROCKED. And a vegan chocolate pie with caramalized bananas. So cool. Funny my Betty friend who lives in Etobicoke, Toronto can't stand to watch her show and I prefer her show over a lot of the American shows. If I can find the link, I'll get it for you.

Okay, i felt a bit like lucky Laurie yesterday Got another email warning me that my Shop your rewards points total was growing (expiration coming up)and I should think of using the points on a Memorial day special. Well I did. I got an $180.00 propane gas grill with a side burner for 8 dollars and change. Of course, I have to pay someone to put it together, I don't trust Fred at all with that chore.

I am totally missing my favorite salad bowl. I think Allison has it hostage.
Dinner is scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, whole wheat english muffins.

Janet, here is the recipe link....although you might ever trust my taste again after the too tart asparagus....http://www.cookingchanneltv.com/recipes/nadia-g/chana-dhansak-recipe/index.html a review on recipe said "this was the best food I ever ate. It taste like the indian food in a restaurant. it isn't hard to make, simply because all the lovely spices are only two steps away from my local farmer market. i am nadias biggest fan. this recipe is awesome. Whoo Hoo on the new Grill Tina. I just have to say...I've noticed that Americans call them Grills and Canadians call them Barbeques. Or if we are going out to cook a steak we'll say "I'm barbequing a steak for dinner" where as you guys say "I'm grilling tonight". :)Just a little somethin'. LOL! Yum on the Asian Rock Cornish Game Hen recipe. E-mail me it too please! That's cool about the Bitchin' Kitchen. I've never seen it.
In the middle of making dinner. Moved the laptop out to the island to read my recipe off of. That might be a dangerous move as I may get sucked into other things! :) Sorry it was a long day for you. Go relax GF! Yum on your dinner.

before I forget...Tina, sent you a pm with my address...the number may not show that you have mail, cause I replied to one of yours. Thanks, you're a doll.

So if we were playing 100,000 pyramid in my house tonight, the clues would be:
    The remote...the parmesan cheese...

And the category would be...THINGS THAT ARE LOST!!!!!

I just popped in and saw the sentence where Tina asked for my address...maybe I can go back and read before Bryan gets here....

Good to see you MarieC! And Laura. lol on the quiet office!

    WOOHOOO DAHLIA!

Hey Janet! Cant wait to hear more about your weekend!!

Jett and Tina, Hil gained the freshman 30 and its driving her crazy!

Put your feet up, TIna!! OT is good for the paycheck, but that will wear you out!

Hil had a good first day at mickey d's, they have already added hours to her schedule...she must have done well. (One of the other 3 that hired in with her worked one day and never came back!).

Bryan late tonight, meetings at work...it's nearly bedtime...gonna make another pass for the remote...lol

Got the addresses, thanks gals!!! I'm calling it a night....hate to say it but there is a burning patch on my spine, if it is another shingles attack, I'm gonna have to scream. it burns like the dickens and Liv said I have a red raised rash. It hurts. They shoot horses, don't they? This week is gonna be a long one....I'm so looking forward to next weekend and three days off in a row. Will have to break in the new grill and "BARBECUE" something! All ready thinking of Big Bob Gibson's white Alabama barbecue chicken, grilled corn. Watermelon, mint, feta cheese salad. Yep that's the ticket....and deviled eggs of course. Something else is needed (Marie's potato salad??) but I can't think right now. One thing about fake fingernails....I can scratch what I should not be itching too easily.

Marie, keep us up to date on your dad and the pesky nose bleed. I'll keep him in my prayers, dear heart.

I'm so whacked out on the time.. We arrived safely in Israel. It's near 7AM and we've been camped out in a hotel lobby for 2 hours, long story. Hoping to head over to my aunts now and take a nap! Just checking in - thinking of you all.
