Monday Malarky

I'm sure I'll be heading back to the ER today. The pain in my head and the chest tightness has not improved. Whoever stabbed me in the left shoulder blade, please come remove the knife so I can move my weak left arm?

    Hugs to all
I will take some time to read back while waiting to hear from the physician. Take care.
If I got to cook it would be the ratatouille! I will use the chimichurri sauce I have left on a sandwich. Steak slices, chimichurri, gouda or provolone and pressed/grilled.

Hi Tina! I'll remove the knife in your left shoulder blade and take it after whoever put it in there. (Been watching Vikings a lot lately so I'm up for it!) :) Hugs sweetie. So sorry you're hurting. That sandwich picture is delectable! Your nails and the puppies are adorable.
It is actually a little chilly here this morning. 17C/62F. I'm not complaining, but I did have to go put on a pr. of slippers! Not sure what to make for dinner this evening. I'm actually contemplating making a batch of
    Meatball Soup
and I have some nice Olive bread and the Hummus I made the other day to go on the side.
Gray outside and it's supposed to rain this afternoon as well. Am feeling lazy. Will do up a bit of housework and then maybe I'll actually curl up and read. Good day for it.
Thanks for telling us all the goodies you had at your French Dinner Michelle. So much fun. Backyard BBQ will be fun and ya....Colour theme will be a hoot. I'd vote for Orange. You could maybe coat chicken in pulsed up Cheetos or something. :) Carrots is an obvious veggie choice, an Orange Mousse for dessert. Can I come? :)
Glad you had a good trip Karen. I've never been to South Carolina, nor a lot of the States actually, but.....:) It is always nice to be 'Home, sweet, Home" no matter where you go or for how long. :)
Wishing everyone a really nice day.

So indeed I'm going with soup for dinner. Have the hamburg thawing. Hopefully it'll thaw! :)
Called the Microwave Service Depot as I'd kind of been hoping to have had the microwave back by now but they said they had to order two parts for it. One came in and one is on backorder. That says 'foreboding' to me. :)
Making some cookies. Yes, it's that cold. :)
    Just heard this song
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EExWrybama8
Louis Armstrong "Struttin' with some BBQ". What a laugh. I can just picture me flipping steaks and dancing to that! :)

Tina, I am so sorry to hear you are still in pain:( Aww Lola looks so cute snuggled in with Molly and I love the looks and sounds of that steak sandwich:) Your nails look fantastic too! Praying a good kind smart doctor can help you get to the source of your pain, once and for all! Sending very gentle healing HUGS)))

Janet, Meatball soup is the perfect meal for such a damp cool dreary and it is a good day for curling up and reading a book!

Marie, Did you get any rain eventually yesterday? I am still really trying to send it your way:)

Michelle, I love all your themed meals so far, they all sound delicious and so much fun!
I would vote for the colour orange first like, Janet:) Butternut squash soup, stuffed peppers, pumpkin things, salmon, paprika, saffron and orange and or carrot cake, orange sorbet and ginger things came first into my mind. Red would cool too! Pomegranates, strawberries, raspberries, cherries, peppers, tomatoes, soups, drinks and sauces would be fun to fool around with too! Glad to hear those Brownies were so good:)

Karen, Nice to hear you had a good trip to NC and are back at home after your long trip:)

Laurie, Thanks for the info on the Market Basket Saga. Yes do keep us updated please:)

My doctor did call and I am to keep doing what I am doing. He did not seem too concerned at all. It is just a small wee wee spot and it actually looks better today.
We are having Roasted Soya Ginger Chicken with broccoli and Potato Dauphinoise for something different for dinner. I also going to make some blueberry muffins this afternoon.

Hoping everyone has a good day!

I tried to do a nail selfie to show the detail on the fingers. I have blue seashells and orange starfish. I love them. She did it by hand, as always.

Karen, that is a long drive to do in a few days. Phew. Glad that the convocation was good for you. Poor A.C., I know about a starved animal and their distress. Abandonment issues are hard to overcome. Welcome home and glad that you had help at hand to care for the homestead.

Janet, a grey day is perfect for reading. Your olive bread and meatball soup would be perfect for a cool quiet day. Sure wish you could send us some of your cool air.

Laurie, honey....so sorry that Frank has had such a tough time at work. Sometimes a lateral move is better if it means less stress mentally. A chance to move up is also a benefit that deserves to be investigated. Thanks for sharing the saga of the Market Basket, it is an interesting read. Hugs, dear.

Michelle, I love your themed dinners. How fun! I love the French theme. The color theme sounds fun too. I like Janet's orange theme. I'm thinking white......might be weird on a white plate however.

Joce, Marie.....hugs. I'm sure we have had sp's. LOL I'll check back later.

Thanks for the good wishes...I hope I get some answers.

Joce you're good at the Colour themed dinner plans! :) I'm glad your Dr. called and I'm glad to hear he's not the least bit concerned. It was good you called. Now you can relax and know things are how they should be at this point. Your Chicken and Potatoes sound awesome for dinner. Yum on the blueberry muffins.
It was so quiet in here that I finished making my Peanut Butter Cookies and then decided to make some Chocolate Chip ones too. :)
Sending you cool air vibes Tina. I even had to close some windows! White's a fun idea for the Colour themed dinner as well......especially plated on white plates. Potatoes obviously, baked Alaska or meringues for dessert, vanilla milkshakes for drinks, cauliflower (shudder), The meat might be tricky though. A white fish?

Alabama white bbq sauce on white meat chicken, white crab meat in risotto, steamed white fish like cod, with a white sauce, mashed potatoes or rice, cauliflower, peeled eggplant, white asparagus topped with crumbled hard cooked egg white, yucca salad (diced raw yucca, white onions, garlic, white wine vinegar dressing) with small white beans, coconut cake, Angel food cake, peeled poached pears.

Yum on all the cookies. Wish I were there.
Glad you got a 'no worries' message from your Doctor, Joce. I love blueberry muffins.

Good Afternoon everyone! Tina I'm so sorry for all this pain your in! You definitely deserve some relief. I hope you can get some major pain meds or something! Lol at the white theme, it would look pretty boring on a plate!
I am so jealous of your weather Janet! I take your 62F over our dry, humid 95F any day! Of course you can join us for our themed dinner, it will be a long drive though lol! I forgot about your
Meatball Soup recipe...I remember when Marie made it and thinking how good it looked :)
Hi Joce! Okay now y'all are making me want to do color themed next month instead of BBQ! Loving the cool ideas! Glad to hear your doctor isn't concerned. I had to Google potato dauphinoise lol. Looks like a scalloped potatoes, or gratin to me? Regardless, looks yummy!
We are taking it easy today. We are all dehydrated today, probably has something to do with swimming in the salt water pool all day yesterday lol. Not sure whats for dinner tonight. I'll have to research some recipes... I do have some chicken and asparagus I need to cook. Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Janet: the Meatball Soup recipe sounds good. I bookmarked it for future use.

Tina - this is the furthest we've traveled for a church convocation. The next one (if we attend) will be in Dallas, Texas, not quite so far.
A.C. is not the only critter we've had with abandonment problems. The little dog we had to put down a month ago was starving when we found her, and she never missed a meal. Our Aussie was afraid of being being left alone for years after we got him.

Wayne's buddy trapped one raccoon in the barn in our live trap while we were gone. He released it in the woods by his place. He showed me the picture - it was fairly young, not very well fed. This morning he found a large rat in his, smaller, cage - he will release it FAR AWAY. The farther the better.

It is after 8 PM. , the laundry is FINALLY done, we checked to see if any wild blackberries survived the 100 degree days we had while we were gone (they didn't), picked up the dog from the kennel, took the gator to get the mail, and crashed.
It's going to be early to bed tonight!

Anyone who is tired of RAIN - please send some thru central Missouri! The grass crackles under your feet and is more brown that green. Forecast is for rain Wednesday night so WE HOPE it falls here. I heard Tennessee got hit by tornadoes after we drove through - we just need rain, no whirling stuff!

    Hi to everyone!
