Monday Mania

I'm trying to do more housecleaning. I simply can't abide the dust bunnies. I won't clean the fans, that will wait for Olivia. The dogs have been so peculiar the past three days. let me out; let me in, over and over. Maybe the change in dogfood. Off salmon and sweet potato and we are eating bison and wild rice.

Burgers and fries for supper. Lunch is romaine salad with La Feria.

Olivia just walked in the door and scared me to pieces. She hurt her back and they sent her home from work. Her back is in knots. Poor baby.

Hugs to all, happy travel and fun with animals! Later friends.

Aww poor Liv:( Can she collect Workman's Compensation while she is off? It might be the change in dog food? It is so hard to figure out dogs sometimes. Burgers and fries sounds like a good plan for dinner.

Janet, I see you are having a lovely time and your dinner last night looked terrific.
Sending more safe travels to you and Jim.

Michelle, Glad Caiden's party was a big success:) I think nose studs are cute:)

We had to go to the Funeral Home yesterday afternoon b/c Angie's Dad passed away. It was also Chris's birthday yesterday. A nice way to spend your BD standing in line at a Funeral Home eh! The kids were so tired of standing we took them out for ice cream and they kept asking how much longer they would have to stay there. They were not looking forward to today either as the Memorial Service and internment is today. Angie's family is quite big and the Funeral Home was packed and was very hot. We are having pork chops for dinner with mashed potatoes and asparagus with Hollandaise sauce and of course applesauce on the side. I better go make myself some lunch.

    Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

Good afternoon. I started to say good morning but then realized it was after one o'clock already! Wayne is headed to the fire house to help do some work. I elected to stay home -- heat does not become me. Two kitties are bouncing around, Mauser is on my legs looking over the top of my laptop and deciding whether or not to POUNCE on or TAP it. Sigh!

We moved chickies into the coop so they have room to run about. They are 4 weeks old and need the space. One is a bit bigger and seems to be the chief honcho of the chicken coop. She pecks and runs at the others and has asserted her dominance quite well! I must find the larger chicken feeders and waterer so they will have enough for all to use.

So sorry to here of the death in your family, Joce. Funerals can be so hard on children. Esp. the young ones. I guess it happening on his birthday doesn't make it any easier.

Tina, so sorry Olivia got injured at work. Did she fall? I echo the thought that she needs to have it looked at and documented so if need be she can apply for workman's compensation, now or later on. Our daughter injured her back at work year ago and it has never stopped bothering her - the chiropractic helped a lot, though. She can now function without fear of it going out so badly. Dust bunnies / dust fur balls must be planning a revolution, they have taken over my house and are threatening to overtake the rest of the world...you have my sympathy on their ongoing presence, I can not for the life of me convince them to reside elsewhere!

    Have a good day, all!

She didn't fall but she did put up and take down 12 banquet tables and fold/unfold 120 chairs two days in a row by herself. I don't know why the guys in the kitchen didn't help. Plus she worked a 90 hour week on her feet. She actually went into work and the manager took one look at her face and he sent her home. I gave her one of my muscle relaxants and we pulled out the ice pack. She is working too much. She can't say "no".

Sorry for the loss in your family, Joce. It is a difficult time for all. I love a good pork chop supper.

Karen, so you have a chick asserting herself already? I miss having cats and watching their silly antics. Although mine were aloof and would tend to climb in the strangest places....inside the dryer, on top of the frig, curled in the sink, in the magazine basket. I wouldn't want an outdoor cat in such an urban area. The cars and neighborhood kids are a torment. A possum tore up my Mr. Muffin. We even had a coyote 25 miles north of us taking out neighborhood cats.

Michelle, I think a stud in the nose is cute. I had my ears pierced when I was 14 and I've let them close.. Olivia had a navel piercing but after a slide on the ice on her belly, she decided it wasn't such a good thing and she let it close. Besides it made a funny bump in her costumes and when she was competing the ice judges are very OLD school and penalize you. You should have seen me learning how to cover her tattoos with pancake makeup and not ruin the dress. She had a lovely sunny yellow lace dress that I had to line, the rib tatts looked like she had been beaten with a bat. I need to photo those costumes and get them on e-bay or craig;s list. I know there is probably 1400 dollars new in that closet, plus the three prom dresses.

My stomach hurts. Might not eat, although I should feed the kid. Maybe mac and cheese will work for her.

Good afternoon! It must be the change in dog food Tina. Burgers and fries are always good and I still need to try that La Feria sauce, thats the one with the mayo and olives blended up right? Hope Olivia feels better soon. I have had my eyebrow pierced twice, 3 holes in each ear, my tongue pierced and my belly button pierced. I was a rebel teenager :)

Aw that's too bad about Angies dad passing Joce :( Yum on your dinner, I'll take any leftover asparagus and Hollandaise!

Haha, I almost said good morning too Karen :P I would have stayed out of the heat too.

It's supposed to be raining all week. Friday it's supposed to clear up, so I think we are going to go to Schlitterbahn. Probably see if the neighbors want to go with us. Michael's Dad is going out of town on Wed. for a week and a half so now we have time to do some fun things since Michael won't be working. Caiden has a fever today, so we are hunkered down watching movies. Bri has dance tonight so he will just stay here with Michael. Michael will have to leave to go picket as soon as I get back. Dinner is just a quick stir fry of whatever needs to be used up. Probably some ham, potatoes, asparagus, onion and bell pepper. Maybe fry and egg to go on top? Sounds good to me lol! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Yikes on Olivia moving all the tables. She needs to learn to ask for HELP with large tasks, there is no reason for one woman to do all of that and then be on her feet working the event.

Agree completely on urban areas being for indoor cats only. I would be the mean old lady who turned in cruel kids in a heartbeat. Since we are extremely rural I only have owls and coyotes to contend with. Well, one "neighbor" is not so great but I casually informed him, in conversation not directed at him specifically, that I would sic the law (surprised he did not die laughing at that comment but it worked) on ANYONE who harmed ANY of my animals. Sometimes a good, snarling bluff works. Bwahahaha!

Michelle, I am still laughing at your rebel teenager description. Hope you have some pictures! The tongue piercing would gross me out, but I see lots of women with multiple ear piercings. NOT FOR ME! I have pierced ears and that is enough. I even didn't do them the first time until I hit 40-ish. They eventually grew shut so I re-did them. If they grow shut again I will switch to clip-ons, hear there are add-ons you can use to convert them. I seldom wear jewelry anyhow, except to go to church or some social occasion other than a casual BBQ!

Wayne is back - it rained off and on so they only got half the mowing done. Looks like the sun is out again, however. Should be nice weather for the meeting unless storms fire up this evening. They are hinting at some being severe but I doubt it.

Kittens are half sleepy and half wanting to play. Trouble is on my legs debating the issue. Mauser is on the floor batting my miniature bullwhip (gotten as a joke but makes a great cat toy). Best sign off and do something constructive. The only thing I accomplished today was dustball and cat hair removal from the floor. LOL!

    Hi everyone!
We had ziti with meatballs and garlic bread. I think a small nose piercing looks good it's those huge gages that people put in their ears that kind of gross me out. (Sorry if anyone has one). I want to get a tiny dime size tattoo on my foot of a palm tree. I keep saying it but haven't done it yet lol
My legs are hurting, hips, knees, shins haven't run or exercised in a few days.

Hi guys! In Rossport, Ontario. Watching the Tamp Game. Tina are you cheering? CHEER LOUDER! If the blackhawks get one more goal during the third period I'm afraid Tampa is toast.
As stuffed as I am right now I could totally go for a La Feria salad Tina. Hope Liv feels better asap. How did she hurt her back? Mac n' cheese also sounds good.
Thanks Joce. We had another super nice day today. It's been a good trip thus far. That being said, something weird is going on with the fan in the car and it'll only work (for both fan and air conditioner) if it is on HIGH, so we've been just opening the sun roof for air circulation. We'll try get it checked out when we're in Rainy. At least it's not mid summer. Sorry to hear about Angie's father. Happy Birthday to Chris. That wouldn't be a very nice way to spend it alright. Your dinner sounds excellent.
Wow....just looked out the window and there is a gorgeous sunset going on. Lake Superior is drop dead gorgeous. Oh! I saw a big ole moose today too. So cool.
Hi Karen! Hope the storms miss you.
DO try the La Feria recipe Michelle. It's SO good. What's Schttlerbaun. A town?
Sorry to hear you are hurting Laurie. Feel better!
Will arrive in Rainy tomorrow night. Told Mom we'd bring her Kentucky Fried chicken for dinner. Her fave. :)
Have a great day tomorrow everyone.
