    Good Morning Everyone!
The thunder storm went around us last night. Didn't get a drop of rain but the hot temps did dissipate. A little cooler today.
I'm going to help Jim put up the eavestrough over our bedroom today as he has fixed and stained the fascia. We'll take a spin into town this afternoon for a couple of groceries and may check out the Tanger Mall that opened last year. Haven't gone to see it yet.
Found a recipe for Asian Salmon in Foil on Pinterest so think I'll make that for dinner this evening. Still have some Quinoa salad but perhaps Jim will be getting tired of it. :)
Did you buy anything at Bass Pro yesterday Karen? Nice that you found some clothes that you liked. Good luck with your exercise class today and the Fire hall meeting tonight.
Wishing everyone a most lovely day.

Hi. Missed exercise class. Felt yucky this morning .... We had storms all night and two hours sleep doesn't cut it. Ha ha. Next time I order a large iced coffee it will be in the morning so the caffeine ca wear off. We had Tangier malls not too far but have not been there yet. Hope you find lots of bargains!

Feel better soon Karen! I've had an occasional iced coffee at Tim Horton's but keep meaning to try my hand at making some at home. Had a friend that said she added a bit of maple syrup to hers instead of sugar and it was wonderful! :)
Enthusiasm for the Tanger mall is waning but we'll see. Gonna make some egg salad sandwiches for lunch. A few scary moments with Jim up on the ladder with the eavestrough but we've got a few screws in now to hold it so it should be okay.
Weeded the side and back gardens and planted my lavender. Gorgeous breeze out but hot in the sun!

I would like to put out some more lavender but there are no plants to buy anywhere - wrong time of the year, I guess. May have to look at one of the nurseries in the area or just wait until next year.

I am thinking I had a sugar overload - have cut WAY down on sugar in the past few months, and the iced coffee which followed the choc. chip cookies which followed the Acai sugar-laden Starbucks tea -- well, it is time to get back on the bandwagon. If I make iced coffee at home I will use stevia and a dash of creamer. IN THE MORNING so I can recuperate! I have had a dickens of a time finding no-sugar-added stuff that is not full of Nutrasweet (aspartame) or Splenda (allergic) or dextrose / succrose (? sp.) or any of the other "oses" in the world.

Goodness, but it is quiet here today. Where is everyone?

Connectivity issues here. I hate Bright House.

Liv brought me a bagel and a large Toasted Almond Iced coffee this morning. I'm still buzzing. I had a salad for supper.

Skippy has two warts on her eye lid and they are making her eye tear. But the vet was more concerned that her lymph nodes are swollen. She is on a dose of doxycycline and they took blood to check on the reason. We immediately jumped to the conclusion of cancer.....but the vet said she has seen a huge increase of tick illnesses. She would have to be anesthesized to remove the warts. Today was $320.00. We shall have to see how the old girl fares. She is 14. She has been crying and whimpering this afternoon every time she rolls to the hip they took blood.

Lola has been hysterical. Not only does she growl at the Geico gecko and any dog or cow she sees on TV but she now added personal injury lawyers as a personal affront. There are 4 firms that advertise non-stop and two of them make her GROWL. Mr. Beltz and Mr. Ligori, my pug does not trust you at all.

Quote came in for cracked beam in pool. $1100.00 to fix it or add water every other day.

One of the owner/managers at Toasted Monkey gave Olivia and Scotty a freebie dinner for four at his flagship resto, Ozona Blue. They went tonight and said it was "fantastic."
The new owners are going to change the Toasted menu, upgrade the bar munchies to include prime rib and lobster entrees, plus she-crab soup. They have broached Olivia into becoming a manager instead of server. She isn't sure. She does know how to run it all.......banquets to cleaning toilets and cutting off the guest who has had too much. They would have to pay her enough to make up for the tips.

Janet, any ladder and Fred would make me worried. Good for you on the weeding.
The quinoa salad that never ends, huh?

Karen, how are the kittens doing? I dislike most sweeteners. I can remember my mom fixing her coffee with powdered coffee mate and liquid sucrose in a squeeze bottle. That is why I usually drink my coffee black.

I have a doctor appointment tomorrow. Interviewing for a new primary.
